Just met the "Torchbearer Zero" of the National Games of China in Shenzhen — a humanoid robot named Kuafu! 🤖🔥
Right at the Media Center, Kuafu is greeting guests and handing out press kits like a pro. The future of hosting and assistance at major events has officially arrived — and it walks on two legs.

🇨🇳🏸 A bittersweet moment off the international stage!
While the Kumamoto Masters rolls on in Japan, China’s best are at home fighting for the National Games—where every province is its own powerhouse.

In yesterday’s men’s-doubles bronze match, Beijing’s & edged Fujian’s former national teammates Ou Xuanyi & He Jiting for the podium.

After the final rally, Liu and Ou—once partners in the national squad—shared what might be their last on-court photo together.

Domestic glory, lifelong memories. Here’s to old partnerships and new chapters! 📸✨

🇭🇭IRONMAN glory in the heart of Central!
Our Hong Kong squad just snatched 🥉BRONZE in the individual & 🥈SILVER in the team race at the National Games triathlon—right here along the postcard-perfect Victoria Harbour & Central Harbourfront!

Seasoned local hacks South China Morning Post say coaches & athletes are already calling it “THE best triathlon track on the planet”.

We swam, biked & ran with the skyline cheering us on—and the city delivered medals to match the view.

【Velodrome Vibes 🇭🇰🚴‍♂️】
Inside the Hong Kong Velodrome right now—home of the 15th National Games track cycling. From the steel dome to the boards below, every lap echoes a legend: Wong Kam-po’s 1997 road-gold, first-ever for post-handover HKSAR.

3⃣ Local riders attacking—crowd roaring like engines

Since that historic win, HK has stacked 20+ world titles, 20+ Asian Games medals and built this UCI-class temple of speed. Today the legacy keeps rolling—new heroes chasing wheels, fans waving flags, city pride spinning faster than the cranks.

Just wrapped up my first trip to Hong Kong covering the National Games triathlon—congrats to Team HK on the relay silver! 🥈
I sat down with SCMP’s Paul McNamara South China Morning Post (2.5 yrs on the HK sports beat) to ask if the city is gunning for “world-class sports-event capital” status. His verdict: the soon-to-open Kai Tak Sports Park is the game-changer—its flagship stadium will finally give Hong Kong a marquee pitch to lure football super-clubs and multisport mega-events. Meanwhile, the existing velodrome, snooker halls and fencing strips around town are already hosting UCI track cycling, ranking snooker tournaments and Fencing World Cup legs. Add them together and the calendar is getting stacked. ⚽🏟️🚴‍♂️🤺🎱

Just wrapped up my first-ever trip to Hong Kong covering the triathlon—and what a finish! Team Hong Kong snatched relay silver in their own backyard. Huge thanks to SCMP’s Paul McNamara (2.5 yrs on the HK sports beat) for the crash course: apparently every athlete and coach is calling the Victoria Harbour course the best on the planet. Addicted to the city’s outdoor buzz already—can’t wait to come back! 🚴‍♂️🏊‍♂️🏃‍♂️🌊🇭🇰 South China Morning Post

If every track looked like THIS, no one would ever hit snooze again. 🌊🏃‍♂️🚴‍♀️
Today at the National Games triathlon, Hong Kong turned Victoria Harbour & Central Promenade into an open-air stadium. Sun glinting off skyscrapers, salt-sprayed bike legs, a finish line with ferries sailing by—training goals just got a skyline upgrade. Ready to swap treadmills for this view?

🏉Golden glory in Hong Kong!🇭🇰
Just posted my vlog from the men’s 7s rugby FINAL at Kai Tak Sports Park—where HKG stunned defending champions Shandong to seize the National Games of China gold. Hong Kong China Rugby 中國香港欖球總會

The roar inside the purpose-built stadium was unreal. After the whistle I grabbed Julien BOURRON & Harry SAYERS, who told me:

“Our 7s culture runs deep. We hope this medal pulls the next generation of Hong Kong kids into the sport.”

With HK$31.9 billion poured into Kai Tak—the world’s 2nd-priciest sports hub—rugby here is leveling up fast: better tournaments, stronger youth pathways, bigger global links.

Witness the future of sports! At the 15th National Games in Shenzhen, China, a humanoid robot stole the spotlight during the boxing men's 92kg final award ceremony. Imagine, a robot smoothly handing over medals to the winners with precision and grace. This blend of "blood, sweat, and tech" is redefining the spirit of sports. From robot torchbearers to award presenters, the National Games are not just about sports—they're a showcase of innovation and vitality. This is the new era of sports, where technology meets athleticism.

🏙️🌊 Victoria Harbour was the stadium on Saturday morning—and every stride, pedal and splash came with a skyline applause track.

🇨🇳 Huang Anqi lit up the 10 km run to defend her crown in 1:59:16, while Fan Junjie upgraded 2021 bronze to men’s gold in 1:47:47—both turning Central Promenade into their personal parade route.

But the roar that nearly rattled IFC belonged to Hong Kong’s own Oscar Coggins, who ripped through the technical nine-lap bike course to snag men’s bronze and give the home crowd the moment we’d waited for. Teammate Cade Wright wasn’t far off the podium, pushing every metre until the last Harbor-front turn.

From swim start beside the Ferris wheel to a finish line framed by ferries and fireworks-in-waiting, this city proved again: we don’t just host races—we stage memories.

Next up: the mixed relay. Let’s keep the harbour echoing. 🇭🇰🏊‍♂️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♂️✨

🎙️🇭🇰 "I moved to Hong Kong 7 years ago not even knowing the city played rugby" Hong Kong China Rugby 中國香港欖球總會 Today he's standing here with a GOLD medal! Huge congrats to Harry SAYERS and the rest of the HK 7s heroes who lit up Kai Tak on Friday night! 🏅🏉

Cheaper tickets, high occupancy, kids cheering—this tournament showed what can be when the city gets behind it. Here’s to more boots on the ground, more flags in the air, and a whole lot more rugby in Hong Kong’s future! 🙌

🥇🏉GOLD for Hong Kong SAR!
