An exhibition showcasing exquisite white porcelain artworks from Dehua County in east China's Fujian Province -- recognized by the World Crafts Council International as the "World Capital of Ceramics"-- opened in Los Angeles, United States, on November 23.
The exhibition, titled "Aesthetics of Harmony: Blanc de Chine, Porcelain from Dehua," featured nearly 100 ceramic artworks and photographic pieces, blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design concepts to highlight the cultural heritage, artistic appeal, and innovative spirit of Dehua white porcelain. The event attracted more than 100 guests from China, the United States, and other countries.
The history of porcelain making in Dehua can be traced back approximately 3,700 years ago, with the craft flourishing during the Tang Dynasty. Today, Dehua has become one of China's largest production and export bases for ceramic crafts, with its porcelain products sold to over 190 countries and regions worldwide.
