In the past, preparing a good customer presentation could take me hours—or even most of my day.

Now I’ve learned how to use Claude to help me research, structure information, brainstorm and prepare much more efficiently.

Of course, AI doesn’t replace my experience.

I still need to understand my customer, decide what matters and make sure what I’m presenting actually creates value.

But Claude helps me handle so much of the preparation more efficiently.

And that’s why I keep telling working professionals:

Don’t learn AI just because AI is trending.

Learn it because it can become a practical skill you use every single day.

And once you develop these skills, you can use them to:

5AM routine completed. ☕️💻

People often ask me:

“Why do you wake up so early? What do you actually do at 5AM?”

This is what it looks like behind the scenes.

That quiet time in the morning is when I work on my digital business before the rest of the day begins.

And today’s mission?

💻 Building and improving the website for my Advanced Claude AI: Build class.

I’ve had people asking me:

“Marilyn, where’s the link?” 😂

So instead of manually sending information every time, I’m working on creating a proper place where people can understand what the class is about and register directly.

And this is another thing I’ve learned from building my digital business:

Don’t just work harder. Build systems that make things easier.

Today it might be a website.

Tomorrow it could be an automated workflow.

Then eventually, all these little systems start working together.

That’s what my 5AM routine is really about.

Not waking up early just for the sake of saying “I woke up at 5AM.”

It’s having uninterrupted time to learn, build and become 1% better.

Okay… enough talking. 😂

Sometimes the best AI projects start because you’re simply fed up with doing something manually. 😂

Our HR resigned, and suddenly I looked at the expense claim process and thought…

“There has GOT to be a better way to do this.”

Submitting forms manually.
Tracking claims.
Checking whether they’re approved.
Sending everything to my boss.

I really didn’t want another repetitive administrative process. 😅

So instead of just complaining about it…

I tried BUILDING the solution.

I created an Expense Claim Management System where employees can submit their claims, supporting information can be organised, and my boss can have a much clearer approval workflow.

And I built it with the help of Claude and code. 🤯

I’m not a programmer.

What I’ve learned is that the most important skill isn’t necessarily knowing how to write every line of code yourself.

It’s knowing how to:

Identify the problem → Understand the workflow → Define what you need → Build → Test → Improve

That’s the framework I want more working professionals to learn.

Because AI isn’t only for writing emails and creating content.

You can use it to solve actual problems you face at work.

And if this saves me and my boss from unnecessary manual work…

I’ll consider that a WIN. 😂🙌

I REALLY enjoyed my LIVE this morning. ❤️

So many questions were coming in that instead of feeling tired…

I actually felt more energised! 😂

And one question kept coming up:

“Is digital marketing really real?”

My answer?

YES — but it’s not magic.

Digital marketing is a skill set.

You learn how to:

✨ Build your personal brand
✨ Create valuable content
✨ Understand your audience
✨ Generate leads
✨ Build trust and credibility
✨ Recommend or sell solutions that genuinely help people

And when you learn how to put these pieces together, those skills can potentially open up opportunities to create an additional income stream.

That’s also becoming a bigger part of my mission.

I don’t just want to teach people another tool or give them another set of prompts.

I want to help more people develop skills they can actually USE — at work, in business, and to explore new income opportunities.

Yesterday feels extra meaningful. ❤️

My ex-colleague came all the way from JB to Singapore to spend time learning with me.

She’s starting a new chapter in her career, and instead of simply teaching her how to find leads on LinkedIn, we started with something I believe comes before lead generation:

Your personal brand.

We used Claude AI to help her think through:

✨ What she wants to be known for
✨ Who she wants to attract
✨ How to communicate her experience and value
✨ How to position herself on LinkedIn
✨ What kind of content she can start sharing

Because LinkedIn isn’t just an online résumé.

It’s your digital first impression.

Before you start sending messages and looking for leads, people need to understand:

Who are you?
What value do you bring?
And why should they connect with you?

And what made today special was seeing someone I’ve known as a colleague now sitting opposite me as I guide her through a completely new chapter. 🥹

I received my first review for my 1-to-1 Advanced Claude AI: Build coaching, and this really made my day. 🥹❤️

What meant the most wasn’t simply hearing that she enjoyed the session.

She shared that I was able to take something that initially felt complicated and technical and break it down into a simple framework she could understand and bring back to her work.

And this is exactly what I want my training to achieve.

She started with:

❌ No experience building dashboards
❌ No technical background
❌ Not knowing where to begin

But during the session, we worked through it step-by-step, hands-on…

and she actually built a dashboard that she could take back and use. 📊👏

For me, that’s the difference between simply learning about AI and actually learning how to USE AI.

I don’t want you to finish my workshop with 100 prompts that you forget the next day.

I want you to understand the framework:

A little behind-the-scenes of my real life. 😅

I still have my 9-to-5 job.

But at the same time, I’m managing my digital business, meeting customers, having consultations, creating content and continuing to learn.

So how do I manage everything?

I PLAN — and I let Claude help me. 🤖

I put down what I need to accomplish, the customers I need to meet, my appointments and my business tasks…

Then I use Claude to help me organise my priorities and structure my day.

It doesn’t mean AI does everything for me.

It means I spend less time figuring out what to do next and more time actually getting things done.

One thing I’ve learned:

Sometimes you don’t need more hours in your day.
You need a better SYSTEM for the hours you already have. 💡

That’s how I’m learning to balance my 9-to-5 while continuing to build something of my own.

One day at a time.
One system at a time.
1% better every day. ❤️

I came home early today and it was still bright outside. ☀️

And somehow that gave me an extra boost of energy because tonight, I’m doing another 1-to-1 coaching session.

But we’re not starting with:

“Which AI tool should I use?”
or
“What prompt should I type?”

We’re starting with the WORKFLOW.

👉 What are you doing now?
👉 Where are you spending too much time?
👉 What information are you handling?
👉 Which steps are repetitive?
👉 What should the system actually help you achieve?

Because I’ve realised something from teaching AI:

You can’t improve a workflow you don’t understand.

Once we map out what’s happening behind the scenes, THEN we can look at where Claude and AI can help simplify the process, build the system and improve work efficiency.

Tonight is Part 1 of that journey, and I’m genuinely excited to see what we can build together. ❤️

For me, this is what learning AI should look like.

Not just learning prompts.
Understand the problem → Map the workflow → Build the solution.

Someone in the community asked me today:

“How much do you earn every month?”

And my answer was…

That’s actually the wrong question to start with.

Before asking:

💰 “How much can I make?”

Ask yourself:

❤️ “How much value am I willing to give?”

Because one thing I’ve learned from building my own journey is this:

People don’t just buy your link.
They don’t just buy your product.
They buy into YOU.

Before someone becomes your customer, they are watching.

Do you genuinely help people?
Do you know what you’re talking about?
Do you show up consistently?
Can they trust you?

That’s why personal branding is so important.

Your content isn’t only there to sell.

Every useful tip you share, every person you help and every problem you solve is slowly building your trust and credibility.

And eventually, that trust can create opportunities.

So instead of starting your online journey by asking:

“How quickly can I make money?”

Start with:

“How can I become someone people trust enough to learn from or work with?”

Work on your skills.
Work on your personal brand.
Give value first.
