ATF 2025 | Sailing into the New Voyage of 2026
The Asian Television Forum (ATF 2025) has concluded in Singapore, yet the energy and warmth of conversation at IX Media’s P38 booth continue to resonate. Over the past three days, we connected with partners from across the globe, including Greater China, ASEAN, Japan, and Korea, North America, the Middle East, and beyond. From reuniting with old friends to sparking new dialogues, from content trading to co-creating what’s next, every conversation transcended borders, reinforcing our conviction that compelling content knows no boundaries and that like-minded partners are the beacons lighting the way forward.
The Dual Drivers of Content Value
“What other series do you have about female growth?” was one of the most frequently asked questions during the event.
While period dramas like The Journey of Legend, with their roots in Eastern neo-martial arts, continued to attract strong interest, modern urban series also received widespread inquiries from international clients. This trend underscores a vital shift: genre is no longer the sole factor driving content appeal. What truly crosses cultural divides and resonates with global audiences is the universal emotional power embedded within the stories. Themes such as women’s self-discovery, the struggles of youth, and intergenerational family dynamics are shared human experiences that are building the most robust foundation for cross-border content dialogue.
In terms of content formats, we observed continued and notable structural diversification. Traditional long-form series remain the bedrock of brand building and long-term market value. At the same time, the rise of short-form and micro-series reflects an ongoing trend toward “snackable” content, tailored to evolving audience attention patterns. These agile formats enable rapid market testing, deeper user engagement, and timely responses to emerging trends. By establishing a synergistic content matrix, one in which “long-form secures value, short-form captures momentum”, we are better positioned to align with diverse regional platform strategies and viewing behaviors, creating a two-way path between brand development and market expansion.
A Strategic Asset That Grows Over Time
At this year’s event, we introduced a new digital distribution solution. Yet what left the most profound impression was not the technology itself, but how it catalyzed trust.
Using our digital platform, we pre-generated personalized content recommendation lists for partners involved in nearly seventy meetings. This preparation allowed conversations at our booth to begin with shared understanding and develop into meaningful collaboration. Not only did matching efficiency improve significantly, but it also freed us to focus on genuine interaction and market insight. In this environment, human connection returned to its essence: heart-to-heart resonance and strategic alignment.
A partner we have worked with for ten years shared this insight during our meeting: “The pandemic taught us that contracts cannot sustain a partnership, trust can.” This reflection echoes our longstanding commitment to transparent copyright governance. We view every contract as the starting point of a relationship, one that must be rooted in a foundation of trust strong enough to endure for decades, reaching far beyond what is written in the agreement.
Building Certainty in the New Normal
The pandemic chapter may have ended, but it has accelerated two lasting transformations within and beyond our industry: the evolution of distributors from simple channel partners into collaborative ecosystem builders, and the maturation of remote collaboration into a core operational capability—reshaping both the efficiency and scope of cross-border partnerships.
In response, we devoted over two years to developing the Cloud-Based Content Marketplace—a digital infrastructure designed as a lightweight yet powerful tool to facilitate more innovative content matching and collaboration among global partners. During the event, the platform was activated by multiple forward-thinking companies.
We firmly believe that in an era defined by volatility, absolute certainty comes not from predicting the winds of change, but from building the capacity to navigate them.

尽管《赴山海》这类以东方新武侠为底色的古装剧集依然广受关注,现代都市题材,同样收获来自海外客户的广泛问询。这清晰指向一个趋势:题材类型本身已不再是内容吸引力的唯一保证,真正能够跨越文化差异、直击观众心灵的,是故事中蕴含的普世情感共鸣。女性自我追寻、青春成长历程、家庭代际牵绊……这些人类共通的情感命题,正逐渐构筑起内容跨境中最坚实的对话基础。
在内容形态层面,我们也观察到持续而显著的结构性分化。传统长剧集始终是品牌积淀与市场价值的压舱石;而短剧、微剧等形态的兴起,则代表着一种顺应注意力变迁的“内容快消化”趋势,以轻盈之姿快速试水市场、捕捉用户、响应需求。通过构建“长剧稳价值,短剧抓节奏”的协同内容矩阵,我们得以更灵活地适配不同区域的平台逻辑与观看习惯,在品牌建设与市场拓展之间,走出一条双向驱动的路径。
信任,是可沉淀的战略资产
在本此展会,我们首次呈现全新的数字化发行解决方案。然而最令人触动的,并非来自技术本身,而是它如何成为信任的“加速器”。
通过数字平台,我们为近七十场会议的合作伙伴提前生成了个性化的内容推荐片单。这让展位前的对话,始于共识,成于深化,匹配效率提升之余,我们更能将时间专注于真实互动与市场洞察。人与人之间的交流,便回归本质:心与心的共鸣,战略与战略的对齐。
