Conservationists in Mangshi city, southwest China’s Yunnan province, are sharing rare images of a golden infant Indochinese gray langur - a first-class nationally protected species in China. The footage shows the bright golden baby clinging to its mother, while the mother gently cares for and kisses her infant. Scenes of feeding and play were also recorded.

Conservationists say the local population welcomed three newborn infants between late 2025 and early 2026, signaling positive results from ongoing protection efforts.
