✈ launches -Kuala Lumpur flights

👏Direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Nanchang, East China's Jiangxi province, are expected into inject fresh impetus to the tourism sectors of both sides, said experts and officials.
The comments came after Nanchang recently launched direct flight services to Malaysia's capital since the mutual visa exemption between China and Malaysia took effect in July.
The inaugural flight returned to Nanchang at around 9 pm on Aug 25, carrying some 200 Malaysian tourists.
"It used to be quite troublesome to travel to Jiangxi. Now, with the direct flight, it's so convenient. This province has many beautiful cities — like Shangrao and Jingdezhen. The scenery we saw online is truly stunning, and we're excited to explore," said a Malaysian tourist surnamed Yang.
Operated by Jiangxi Air, the new route will be operated with two flights per week, every Monday and Saturday.
It is not only Jiangxi's first direct flight to Malaysia post-visa waiver, but also currently the only direct route from this inland province to Southeast Asia.
On its inaugural day, the flight achieved a load factor of over 90 percent. Ding Chunling, general manager of the marketing and sales department at Jiangxi Air, said this reflects a deepening exchange between the people of China and Malaysia.
"We began preparing for this international route a long time ago. During a business trip to Malaysia with the provincial Party secretary last year to promote investment and tourism, many local travel agencies expressed strong interest in establishing direct flights to us," Ding said.
"When news spread about the launch of this route, travel agencies rushed to make advance bookings — some even reserved seats through March next year," Ding added.
Dato' Mohd Izani Ghani, managing director of Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad, described the new route as a key strategic move to enhance aviation cooperation between Malaysia and China.
He said direct access to emerging inland markets in China would create more trade, investment and business opportunities for Malaysia.
It will also solidify Kuala Lumpur's position as a major aviation hub in Southeast Asia and open new avenues for tourism, economic and cultural exchanges, he added.
The Nanchang-Kuala Lumpur route is Nanchang's third international direct flight, following Osaka and Singapore.
The flight drastically shortens travel time between Southeast Asia and Jiangxi — from eight to nine hours with transfers down to just over four hours — and is expected to boost economic, trade and cultural tourism exchanges.
Data indicate that the route is projected to bring over 15,000 tourists annually from Southeast Asia to Nanchang.
The city has already seen significant growth in inbound tourism, with international visitor numbers rising by 20 percent year-on-year in the first half of the year.
"Outbound travel from Jiangxi is accelerating. We resumed flights to Singapore and Kuala Lumpur in August and will launch flights to Macao in September," said Xie Tao, chief of the second inspection section of Changbei Airport Customs.
In addition to Jiangxi, other places in China — including Qingdao in Shandong province and Haikou in Hainan province — have also launched direct flights to Kuala Lumpur since the mutual visa exemption took effect on July 17.
Last year, several cities, such as Wuhan in Hubei province, Nanjing in Jiangsu, Kunming in Yunnan, and Yantai in Shandong, also introduced direct flights to Kuala Lumpur.

👩‍🏫A Classroom Across the : A New Chapter of Between Teachers and

In July 2025, the 19th Helu Summer English Teacher Training Program from the United States was held in Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province, a city known as the “Northern Gateway of Jiangxi.”Jennifer, an American teacher, traveled across the Pacific with two colleagues to join the program.
In the podium, she shared American culture with local teachers. In the city’s streets and alleys, she explored the daily life of Jiujiang. What impressed her most was on mist-shrouded Mount Lushan, where she discovered the remains of an American school—still standing after a century, a testament to the long history of cultural exchange between East and West.
As the training concluded, Jennifer brought home not only photos and memories, but also heartfelt stories in China. This “classroom across the Pacific” has gone beyond language teaching, fostering and mutual understanding.

⭐🕊China holds massive parade to mark 80th anniversary of WWII victory

China held a massive military parade in central Beijing on Wednesday to mark the 80th anniversary of its victory in World War II, pledging the country's commitment to peaceful development in a world still fraught with turbulence and uncertainties.

Towering structures shaped like the Great Wall stood in Tian'anmen Square, symbolizing the Chinese nation's courage and solidarity in resisting foreign aggression.

President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, oversaw the parade and reviewed the troops.

Standing beside Xi on Tian'anmen Rostrum were Russian President Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un, the top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, along with more than 20 other foreign leaders.

Representatives of people who had supported China's WWII fight, or their family members -- from countries such as Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, and Canada -- were invited to the event.

This was the second time since 2015 that China has held a military parade to commemorate the hard-won victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War.

Helicopters flew over Tian'anmen Square carrying banners that read "Justice Prevails," "Peace Prevails," and "The People Prevail." The troops marched in tight, powerful formations, their faces lit with confidence and pride. Columns of new tanks, artillery and other military equipment rumbled through the square.

Xi delivered a speech before the parade. Highlighting the significance of the victory 80 years ago, Xi said it marks China's first complete victory against foreign aggression in modern times.

Xi noted that the Chinese people made a major contribution to the salvation of human civilization and the defense of world peace with immense sacrifice in the war. He called on nations to "eliminate the root cause of war and prevent historical tragedies from recurring."

Japan officially surrendered on Sept. 2, 1945, by signing the Instrument of Surrender. China designated Sept. 3 as Victory Day.

An 80-banner formation honoring heroic military units from the war marched past Tian'anmen Square, highlighting China's position as the first country to rise against fascist aggression with the longest-lasting resistance that began in 1931.

The country tied down and struck over half of Japan's overseas forces, at the cost of 35 million military and civilian casualties -- accounting for around one-third of all WWII casualties worldwide.

More than 10,000 military personnel, along with over 100 aircraft and hundreds of ground armaments, were arranged into formations according to a wartime command system. The People's Liberation Army's (PLA) new system of services and arms -- the result of military reforms under Xi's leadership -- was put on display for the first time.

The advanced armaments put on display included unmanned intelligence and counter-unmanned equipment, hypersonic missiles, directed-energy weapons, electronic jamming systems, and strategic weaponry capable of global strikes.

In his speech, Xi demanded that the PLA provide strategic support for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.

He reiterated China's commitment to peaceful development. "Humanity is again faced with a choice of peace or war, dialogue or confrontation, and win-win outcomes or zero-sum games," he said.

Chinese soldiers who have participated in UN peacekeeping operations marched past Tian'anmen Square, marking their first appearance in a V-Day parade. "We have the capability to defend the peace forged with the blood of our forefathers," said Shao Xiaoguang, a member of the reviewed troops who previously served on a peacekeeping mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

This was also the first military parade since Xi led China to embark on "a new journey to pursue Chinese modernization on all fronts." The country has laid out a roadmap to basically achieve modernization by 2035.

"Eighty years ago, we were revived. Eighty years later, we are thriving with even greater vitality," said Lyu Shouye, a spectator at the event and a graduate student studying AI.

"Now our country has reached a stage where we need to undertake greater responsibilities," he said.

Jiaxin International became Hong Kong's first listed company primarily engaged in tungsten mining and the first RMB-denominated stock in Central Asia.

Jiaxin International's core asset is the Bakyt Tungsten Mine in Kazakhstan, a flagship project under the China-Kazakhstan production capacity cooperation initiative and one of the 45 key projects under the Belt and Road Initiative. The mine holds the world's largest reserves of tungsten trioxide and boasts the highest designed production capacity among single tungsten mines globally. Commercial production at the Bakyt Tungsten Mine began in November 2024, with plans to process 3.3 million tons of tungsten ore in 2025, rising to 4.95 million tons by 2027.

As a major shareholder, JCC played a pivotal role in this landmark cross-border financial achievement. A JCC representative stated that the listing embodies the group's active participation in Belt and Road cooperation, aligns with Jiangxi Province's "1269" industrial action plan, and accelerates JCC's goal of becoming a world-class enterprise through global resource allocation.

Xi proposes Global Governance Initiative at largest-ever SCO summit

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Monday proposed the Global Governance Initiative (GGI), calling on countries to work in concert for a more just and equitable global governance system.

Xi made the remarks when chairing the "Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Plus" Meeting in north China's port city of Tianjin, where the SCO held the largest summit in its 24-year history, attended by leaders from more than 20 countries and heads of 10 international organizations.

The GGI marks the fourth landmark global initiative proposed by Xi over the past several years, following the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative and the Global Civilization Initiative.

Xi highlighted five principles of the GGI -- adhering to sovereign equality, abiding by international rule of law, practicing multilateralism, advocating the people-centered approach, and focusing on taking real actions.

While the historical trends of peace, development, cooperation and mutual benefit remain unchanged, the Cold War mentality, hegemonism and protectionism continue to haunt the world, Xi said, adding that new threats and challenges have been only increasing, and the world has found itself in a new period of turbulence and transformation.

"Global governance has come to a new crossroads," he said.

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory in the World Anti-Fascist War and the founding of the United Nations. Xi stressed firmly safeguarding the status and authority of the UN, and ensuring its irreplaceable and key role in global governance.

He said that all countries, regardless of size, strength and wealth, are equal participants, decision-makers, and beneficiaries in global governance.

"There should be no double standards, and the house rules of a few countries must not be imposed upon others," Xi noted.

He also urged efforts to better tackle the common challenges for mankind, better narrow the North-South gap, and better safeguard the common interests of all countries.

Xi said the SCO should step up to play a leading role and set an example in carrying out the GGI, and remain a force for stability in this volatile world.
