I realized I never shared some of the content I created for the RocketCup Coffee -Olean café during the month of May!

Over the past month, I had the opportunity to provide content creation and social media management, capturing photos, creating short-form videos, and helping manage their social media presence.

It's been a great experience working with a local business and helping tell their story through creative content. I'm incredibly thankful for the opportunity and hope to continue working with the RocketCup Coffee team in the future.

Excited to share that my first article has been published with TAPinto Greater Olean!

In addition to content creation and social media management through Poncho Entertainment, I'm excited to announce that I've joined TAPinto Greater Olean as an intern, where I'll be covering local news, businesses, events, and community stories throughout the region.

My first article covers recent updates and future improvements planned at Olean General Hospital, including a $22 million renovation of the Emergency Department discussed during a Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce Lunch & Learn.

A special thank you to Anne Lee and Richard Lee for the opportunity to join the TAPinto Greater Olean team. I'm grateful for the opportunity and look forward to contributing more local stories in the future.

How does a Rilley Wolf end up 118 stories above Shanghai?

By saying yes to opportunities.

This summer, I had the opportunity to travel across China through St. Bonaventure University China Studies Program.

From Shanghai and Beijing to company visits, cultural experiences, and conversations with students and professionals, it was an experience I’ll never forget.

Glad I was able to be there with Adam Benchbana, Isaac Farmer, Carter Accursi, Cole Faulkner, Ryan Phillips and our professor Carl Case

I’m grateful to be able to share these experiences and business visits through my pages, and I can’t wait to see what else St. Bonaventure University has in store for me.

One of my favorite business visits during our trip was Läderach Shanghai.

What stood out to me wasn't just the chocolate (which was excellent), but the standards the company holds itself to. Learning about the emphasis they place on quality and freshness gave me a better understanding of why customers are willing to pay more for premium products.

I ended up bringing some chocolate back home for my mom, so hopefully that means I was paying attention during the presentation.

It was a great reminder that sometimes businesses compete by being the best rather than being the cheapest.

One thing I wasn't expecting during our trip to China was just how welcoming the team at Moog Inc. in Shanghai would be.

The facility itself was impressive, but what stood out most to me was the hospitality.

Everyone we met was incredibly friendly and willing to answer questions about their operations and experiences working in China.

It was also interesting seeing how a company that started in Western New York has grown into a global business with operations around the world. Visits like this make you realize how much goes into running a successful international company.

The National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai was probably one of the largest buildings I've ever walked through.

We visited during Bakery China 2026, and the scale of the event was hard to describe. Every direction you looked there were vendors, demonstrations, equipment, and more food samples than anyone could reasonably eat in a day.

Beyond the food, it was interesting seeing how trade shows operate at that level and how businesses from all over the world come together to showcase products and build relationships.

Definitely one of the more unique experiences from the trip. Glad I was able to be there with Adam Benchbana, Isaac Farmer, Carter Accursi, Cole Faulkner, Ryan Phillips and our professor Carl Case

One of the more interesting visits during our trip was spending time at PwC China in Beijing.

Going into the visit, I knew PwC was a major global firm, but I never really thought about how much businesses rely on companies like PwC when entering foreign markets.

Throughout the trip, we heard repeatedly about regulations, taxes, intellectual property, and market entry challenges. Visiting PwC helped connect a lot of those pieces together.

One of the most valuable stops on our trip wasn't a company at all

—it was the U.S. Embassy in Beijing.

The briefing from the U.S. Commercial Service gave a much different perspective on doing business in China than what you normally hear in the news.

We discussed trade, market opportunities, intellectual property, and the resources available to American businesses looking to expand internationally.

One thing that surprised me was learning just how much business still takes place between the United States and China despite all the headlines about tensions between the two countries.

For someone interested in business, it was one of the most informative discussions of the St. Bonaventure China Trip.

Grew up a few towns over from Zippo’s headquarters in Bradford, Pennsylvania. Never thought much about it until I was standing in their facility in Shanghai.

Hearing about a business from inside the company is a completely different perspective than anything you'd get from the outside.

Their international operation is a lot bigger than I ever realized growing up that close to home.
What stood out most was the design side. I don't follow Zippo closely back in the States so I wasn't sure what carries over and what doesn't

— but there's a lot that stays in China.

Their Intangible Cultural Heritage glass lampworking piece was one of their most talked about works and honestly I'd never seen anything like it in person.

Thank you to the entire Zippo Shanghai team for having us and for the custom lighters — that was a great touch.
