What is the difference between LED and digital display?
Exploring the World of LED and Digital Displays
You probably even notice LED and digital displays every day, displaying images in billboards, schools, stores or even our homes. Even though their goal is the same (visual representation), two different screens are so distinct from each other that exploring individual differences about it becomes interesting.
Delving into LED Technology:
For LED screens, they use tiny light bulbs named Light Emitting Diodes to form pictures. LED screens do a lot of things right, from their impressive energy-saving qualities that draw very little power and offer some great looking brighter colours coupled with darker blacks through well-implemented contrast but they also present the stark black-white differences between parts within an image.
Untie the Novelties of Digital Display Systems
Digital — on the other hand are pixel-based, i.e. made-up of thousands/millions of tiny dots to form an image. Digital displays have an advantage in they can show color much more vibrantly on a full scale; popping reds and deep blues are very good at grabbing the viewers eye. Additionally, rather than static signage alike traditional signs, digital displays can be a dynamic platform to provide motion graphics and content including video which has proven useful in interactive environments where engaging visuals matter such as sports stadiums.
