🚣‍♀️After two days of intense competition, the 2025 Basum Tso International Open in , , concluded successfully. This year’s event attracted more than 170 athletes and coaches from 13 countries—including Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Turkey, Thailand, Colombia, and Kazakhstan—as well as 42 domestic teams. Competitors navigated the emerald waters and participated in hide-raft experiences with traditional yak-leather , paddling together in both sport and song. “Competing in such a picturesque setting as Basum Tso was an unforgettable experience, allowing me to feel the warm hospitality of the people of Xizang,” remarked French athlete Kevin Raphael after the .
🤩IRF (International Rafting Federation) President Joseph Willis Jones commended the organization of the event and highlighted the outstanding rafting resources available at Tso. He also provided insightful recommendations regarding course layout and slalom marker design for future competitions.
