A tasty adventure that unites cultures and forges enduring memories! On May 29, 2025, China University of Geosciences University’s International Student Center hosted a Dragon Boat Festival Zongzi-Making Workshop to enhance international students' knowledge of Chinese holidays and promote traditional Chinese culture. International students from a variety of nations came together to learn how to create genuine zongzi, enjoying Chinese culture through festive spirit and hands-on fun.

On May 15, 2025, the opening ceremony of the "Study in China" China Link Summer International School: Typical Ore Deposit Geological Internship Summer Camp was held at our school. More than 40 Chinese and foreign teachers and students, including undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students from McGill University in Canada and graduate students from the School of Resources and the School of Outstanding Engineers, attended the ceremony.

Congratulations to Dr. Maqsood Ahmed PhD student from School of Geography and Information Engineering, CUG led by Prof. Xiang Zhang who has published a breakthrough study for accurate air quality predictions and proactive pollution control.
The Low-cost video-based air quality estimation system using structured deep learning with selective state space modeling. This work marks a major leap toward to address gaps in air quality data collected by expensive instruments globally.
