One of the oldest shrines in Japan, I hired a car on Klook to visit this one, however there is a train station in the town not too far from the shrine!

I hired a car (via Klook) from Tokyo for this trip and did both Kashima Jingu and Amabiki Kannon over 2 days :) I stayed in Kasama between the two so the drive in the morning wasn’t too bad! Unfortunately I arrived too early in the month and the hydrangea ponds weren’t ready, but the ducks with the koi was such a site 🥹

This little Buddhist temple is located in Tokyo near Shinjuku and is famous for its Hydrangea (Ajisai)! I recommend avoiding weekends as you’ll have a long time to wait if you want to buy anything (I didn’t attempt the line)!
