Trudging along!!

While we put together another update for you all, we wanted to take a moment to give a very special thank you to our longtime friend, Cathy Holley, along with Lex, the entire The Flavor Experience team, Johnson & Wales University, ProStart, and the many incredible brands we’ve had the privilege of meeting and partnering with through this event over the years.

Cathy, thank you for sharing our story at the Flavor Conference earlier this month and, despite everything we’ve been through, continuing the annual giveaway tradition. This year, attendees entered to win a Forge To Table knife set, with the promise that it will be waiting for the winner as soon as we’re back up and running. Over the years, the conference has also supported Forge To Table by purchasing our knives as thank-you gifts for the amazing Johnson & Wales and ProStart student volunteers who help make the event possible.

To everyone who has welcomed us into the Flavor family over the years, thank you for believing in us, believing in our comeback, and reminding everyone that Forge To Table’s story is far from over. We have every intention of making this next chapter our best yet.

Things are moving slowly but surely, but a path has finally started to clear. We’re doing everything we can on our end to get things back up and running and keep things moving forward!

Over the past several days, we’ve read every message, every comment, and every email. To say we’ve been overwhelmed by your kindness would be an understatement.

As someone who’s had the privilege of telling Forge To Table’s story for years, I can honestly say this experience has reminded me that Forge To Table has always been about so much more than knives. It’s about the people. The friendships we’ve built, the meals you’ve shared with us, and the incredible community that’s formed around a shared love of cooking.

So many of you have reached out asking how you can support us while we rebuild. This post shares a few meaningful ways to do just that, whether it’s purchasing a gift card, contributing to the GoFundMe so many of you encouraged us to create, or simply cooking one of our recipes and sharing it with us.

Please know that none of this is expected. Your messages, your encouragement, and simply being here have already meant more than words can express.

On behalf of the Forge To Table team, thank you for believing in us. The path forward is starting to come into focus, and we’re incredibly hopeful for what’s ahead.

We have spent the last couple of days trying to find the right words...

Late Friday evening, July 10, a fire that began in a neighboring business spread into our warehouse and office, destroying the home of Forge To Table.

The most important thing is that no one was injured. For that, we are incredibly grateful.

In just a few hours, we lost thousands of hand forged knives, blades, handles, knife blocks, tools, materials, and equipment. More than 10,000 hours of craftsmanship disappeared in the fire. We also lost irreplaceable pieces of our story, including photographs, mementos, our cookbook collection, and memories from nearly a decade of building Forge To Table.

In the midst of it all, the Orange County Fire Authority recovered our digital storage server, preserving years of designs, records, and creative work that otherwise would have been lost. We are deeply grateful for their incredible work and compassion.

There are no words to fully capture the heartbreak and sadness we're feeling. Right now, we're lost, we're scared, and we're trying to process a loss that still doesn't feel real. While the building, tools, and inventory are gone, the heart of Forge To Table remains. The road to rebuilding will be long and challenging, requiring time, patience, and perseverance, but we know we'll get there.

To everyone who has supported us over the years, whether you own one of our knives, have shared our story, or simply believed in what we do, thank you. Your encouragement means more than ever right now.

We will forge ahead. We will rebuild. And we look forward to the day we can once again place a Forge To Table knife in your hands.

We'll continue to share updates as we navigate this new chapter, and we're grateful to have you with us every step of the way.
