Dear Billie Eilish.
Healteens project at the Armonía school , Mosquera, Cundinamarca.
I hope this email finds you well. This email is part of the Healteens project from our English class at La Armonía school de Mosquera, Cundinamarca, which focuses on personal care. Today I am writing to talk about an important topic: Bulimia.
Bulimia Explanation:
It is an eating disorder, in which people who suffer from it often have episodes of eating large amounts of food with a loss of control, and to avoid weight gain, they vomit or use laxatives. It causes are usually genetic with psychological, familial, social, and cultural factors, but it affects women more, impacting their physical and mental state.
Statistics and facts:
Jimena Cyrulnik, an Argentine television host and model, faces significant challenges with eating disorders, including anorexia and bulimia, throughout her career. At just 18 years old, she struggles with the pressures and demands of the entertainment industry, which leading to severe anorexia nervosa.
Personal reflection:
Bulimia can cause physical complications like digestive issues, tooth decay, and dehydration. Emotionally, it generates feelings of guilt, shame, anxiety, and depression, affecting relationships, self-esteem, and overall well-being. (https://teams.live.com/l/invite/FAA32ELLrFuK3p63wE)
