One of our first projects in Colombia was in 2015 when we loaded the Riso onto a truck and drove from Cali to Bogotá for ARTBO, the city’s art fair. We set up a temporary studio and told anyone who would listen about Riso—you know, that weird and fun way of printing in vibrant colors. We printed with anyone who dared to come close—artists, curators, visitors alike. We even convinced every publisher at the Art Book Fair section to bring an artist for an impromptu poster project, printed live throughout the weekend. Immensely grateful to laagencia for inviting us and matching our energy for spontaneous, collaborative chaos.

Over the course of a week, Andrea wandered through the streets of Brooklyn and Manhattan in search of glimmers of inspiration. This zine was printed in Riso with a letterpress cover.

Planetas, Soles, Galaxias es un fanzine Riso de Andrea Triana realizado durante la residencia Calipso en colaboración con Idartes en Nueva York, 2022.
Durante una semana, Andrea recorrió las calles de Brooklyn y Manhattan en busca de destellos de inspiración. Este fanzine fue impreso en Riso con una portada en letterpress.

In the summer of 2020, I went to my parent’s house in Puertollano, Spain. Poking around my dad’s things, I looked inside his photographic bag, where I found a camera, an exposed roll, and some cokin filters. Among them, I found one that he made himself. I took the camera and the roll with me to New York and left the cokin filters behind in the bag where I had found them.

This book was made in one night from April 3rd to 4th of 2023, scanning Cokin filters on the bed of a Riso MH9450U in New York.

En el verano de 2020, fui a la casa de mis padres en un pueblo de La Mancha llamado Puertollano. Hurgando en la maleta de mi padre, encontré una cámara, un carrete con fotos y unos filtros fotográficos cokin. Entre ellos encontré uno que él mismo había hecho. Me traje la cámara y el rollo conmigo a Nueva York, pero dejé los filtros donde los había encontrado.

Este libro se hizo en la noche del 3 al 4 de abril de 2023, escaneando filtros Cokin en una Riso MH9450U en la ciudad de Nueva York.

Este libro está dedicado a Eduardo Parra Martínez.
