Market Researcher
We are looking for a strong Market Researcher to help us better identify capture our total addressable market (TAM), help determine base level needs for this market and pressure test the alignment of our products and positioning statements in the home services space. For this position, we are looking for an individual with proven experience across mixed-methods (expert in both qualitative and quantitative methods), with an understanding of how to identify and integrate diverse sources of insights.
The right candidate will have done rigorous, creative, impactful primary research both online and offline, is comfortable in a fast-paced environment, is an excellent communicator and driven by providing compelling and relevant actionable insights to help us achieve our aggressive growth goals.
What you’ll do
• Work with cross-functional departments to identify and prioritize knowledge gaps in our understanding of our home service plan experience
• Define, scope, facilitate and execute marketing and user research studies
• Design research studies that drive tactical and strategic Product/Service decisions and address both user behavior and customer sentiment
o Qualitative and quantitative research, such as in-depth interviews, focus groups, surveys, win-loss analyses, market opportunity
• Analyze, synthesize and report key takeaways to stakeholders that influence Marketing/Brand and Product decisions
• Identify business opportunities and escalate risks
• Thrive in a remote environment and act as the research advocate for data-driven decisions throughout the broader organization
What you’ll bring
• 5+ year’s experience conducting research either client or vendor side, including working with key stakeholders to understand and clarify their people research needs, and communicating analyses to technical and non-technical audiences
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Social Sciences or related field. Masters preferred.
• 3+ year’s of applying multivariate statistical methods with non-equivalent groups; such as: regression adjustment, matching, propensity score stratification, classification, dimension reduction, probabilistic, deterministic, clustering, random effects, modeling, etc.
• Demonstrated experience managing large qualitative/quantitative research on branding and marketing campaigns, product development and customer experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Strong logical reasoning and problem-solving skills with a can-do attitude and natural curiosity
