An unexpected ending for a hunter 🐘💔
In May 2017, a professional hunter named Theunis Botha met a tragic end in Zimbabwe. Known for organising big game safaris, Botha was with a group near Hwange National Park when they came across a herd of elephants. 🌿🐘
In the midst of chaos, an elephant attacked and lifted Botha with its trunk. A partner, in a desperate attempt to save it, shot the elephant, but the injured animal fell directly onto Botha, taking its life. 💀
Botha's death sparked very divided opinions around the world. While some mourned the loss of an expert in their field, many others questioned and condemned the ethics of trophy hunting. History leaves us reflecting on the nature, ethics and consequences of our actions. 🌍🤔
