It’s not Earth Day, or World Ocean’s Day, it’s just a regular Friday. But any regular old day on this green Earth makes it a special one regardless of the day of the year -and as humans we should treat each day as such.
Conservation can carry many different looks but the importance is to be involved.
The 4Corners team spent a few days last week with our good friend traveling the country focusing not on fishing, but on the future and awareness by locals and younger generations.
We teamed up with , , and for a much needed beach cleanup in a national preserve.
Then we packed up and headed to for a conservation festival teaching children about responsible practices and fly fishing.
They were very hands on during the art activities where everyone contributed to a beautiful Mahi painting and crafted other sea creatures out of cardboard. The kids were hyper fixated on learning about our gear and what makes fly fishing different- so we ran down to the beach for some casting clinics.
With some music provided by our friends , great snacks, and beautiful scenery, the new anglers didn’t want to leave and were already asking about the next festival!
Thank you to everyone who was apart and helped make these projects a reality. To everyone who wasn’t- we’d love to have you involved!
Addictions engaged, mission accomplished, pura vida.
