Costa Rebel is a Costa Rican musician, songwriter, music producer, and sound engineer certified by Avid and Berklee College of Music, internationally recognized for his distinct
ive approach to modern reggae. His work has crossed borders, leading him to collaborate with some of the most respected names in reggae and dancehall, including Million Stylez, Little Lion Sound, Bobby Hustle, Lengualerta, Kali Blaxx, Freedom Sounds, Cedric Myton, Pipo Ti, Blackdali, and many more. Among his most celebrated works is the “Uhuru Riddim,” co-produced with Little Lion Sound—a monumental project featuring nearly 40 artists, from legendary icons such as Capleton, Lutan Fyah, Queen Omega, Chezidek, General Degree, Cali P, Bugle, and Mellow Mood, to rising new voices in the scene.�Other standout productions include the “Rebeldes Riddim,” the singles “Alta Suciedad” by Pipo Ti and “Caribbean Sunshine” by Mukkaround, as well as the EPs “Wolaba Vibes” by Bobby Hustle and “Million Stylez Meets Costa Rebel.”

As a drummer, Costa Rebel has performed alongside world-renowned artists such as Capleton, Gappy Ranks, Fidel Nadal, Pablito Molina, Toledo, Tapón, Shel, and Kafu Banton, showcasing his versatility on stage. International Career & Artistic Evolution
Between 2010 and 2018, he split his time between San José, Costa Rica and Geneva, Switzerland, where he built strong ties with the European reggae scene under the mentorship of Asher Selector, who gave him the name Costa Rebel. In 2020, Costa Rebel stepped into the spotlight not only as a producer but also as an artist, releasing songs under his own name alongside the singers he collaborates with. Highlights from this chapter include “Soldado De Jah” (Monteleón, Panama), “Guerrero” (Mistah Godeh, Spain), “Positive Yard” (Blackdali, Argentina), “Deja Que Te Cuente” (Jam I Cali, Colombia), and the album “Elijah Prophet Meets Costa Rebel.”
