Over the years, we've hosted some amazing guests in our Auditorium. This time, our CEO, Branko Milutinović, sat down with Yaron Leyvand, Executive Vice President of Mobile Studios at Zynga Inc. Yaron has been at Zynga for more than 12 years and has had some meaningful lessons to share from his time in different roles- from leading User Acquisition efforts to now being in charge of the mobile studios strategy.

Here's what we learned:

🔀 One thing is for sure – adjusting to market changes is the greatest asset of a forever franchise. Longevity in mobile gaming doesn’t happen by accident. It requires evolving with player needs and staying ahead of industry shifts. Zynga and Nordeus games are a testimony to the lasting innovation and community engagement.

🤝 Marketing and product working together is one of the biggest strengths of a successful game.

📱 Each studio within Zynga brings a unique approach to game development. But the real magic happens when we share knowledge and learn from one another.

It’s been a while… but good things are worth the wait, right? 🙌

Welcome to the refreshed Nordeus Engineering Blog - curated from Engineers to Engineers! 🖥️

The very first blog text in new era wears a headline "Road to GCP Part 1: Short History of Infra" written by our Senior Engineering Director, Strahinja Kustudić!

As Strahinja would say at the beginning of this blog: "Back in 2010, while we were working on Top Eleven (TE), we knew that it would be a backend-intensive game because of its high computation and database requirements. This basically meant we needed a lot of fast CPUs and fast Solid-state drives (SSDs). Back then, Amazon AWS was the only viable public cloud provider that had enough features and functionality to be considered an option. The problem was that the cost of renting virtual servers on AWS was over the roof, compared to renting bare metal dedicated servers. Even more importantly, AWS didn't offer SSDs with their servers, so we had no option but to choose the bare metal option."

This year is all about 15! As soon as the sun came out, we gathered to mark the 15th Nordeus birthday - a celebration we called NordFest 2025.

A little sneak peek into our new working space! 👀

✅We’ve grown in number and now we’ve grown in the m², too!

Six years ago we moved into Nordeus HQ, and this April we opened the doors to additional workspace.✨

👉 We wanted to translate the way we connect and collaborate into a new workplace concept that reflects our people and culture.

That’s why all spaces are modular, and offices can become meeting rooms in a few minutes and vice versa.

Last month, we participated in Serbian Games Association - SGA Empowers in Novi Sad and Belgrade, connecting with women in gaming both onstage and offstage.👩‍🎓📱

👉Jovana Todorović shared her unique career path from Talent Acquisition to Game Design, and gave a behind-the-scenes look at Top Eleven and the passion that bring engaging experiences to our players worldwide.
👉Sara Milošević described how cross-team collaboration helps deliver successful ads for Nordeus mobile games and how she, as a User Acquisition Creative Producer, helps bring these innovative ideas to life.
