In an article for The Open, staff writer Alejandro Suárez Placeres explores a developing audiovisual project in Cuba called “La Cazuela,” led by three young creatives: Alejandro Pérez Frenes, Raycel Rodríguez Delgado and Yordan Rodríguez. Genilson Guajajara is an Indigenous photographer of the Guajajara people in Rio pindaré\Ma, Brazil and one of our artists at The Open. His work documents the fight for the protection of his territory, culture and teachings. In a gallery for The Open he describes the ceremony of "Festa da menina moça,” a rite of passage from girls to adulthood. Read more and see his work at the link in our bio!
