THE ROLLING STONES CANCEL TOUR PLANS FOR 2026
The Rolling Stones have decided to cancel plans for a tour scheduled for 2026 in Europe and the United Kingdom, according to information published by specialized media and confirmed by sources close to the band. The project envisioned a series of stadium concerts that would have continued the Hackney Diamonds Tour, held in 2024, which marked the group’s return to large venues after several years without extensive tours.
Various sources agree that the decision was linked to an internal evaluation of the physical toll that a prolonged tour entails, particularly in the case of Keith Richards, who reportedly expressed reservations about taking on such a demanding schedule.
Formed in London in 1962, Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood have sustained one of the longest and most consistent careers in rock, with global tours active well into the 2020s. In recent years, the band has opted to reduce the number of dates and space out their live commitments, prioritizing specific projects and studio work.
Despite the cancellation of the tour, no retirement or end to the group’s activities has been announced. On the contrary, various reports indicate that the Rolling Stones continue to work on new material following the release of Hackney Diamonds (2023), their first studio album of original songs in 18 years.
