A rain event is likely to happen in the coming days, mostly on Thursday and Friday as a disturbance traverses the ABC islands from the east. Shower activity will become more frequent, and showers could be locally heavy, accompanied by gusty winds and a slight risk for thunder. Flooding over the prone areas is possible during those heavy showers. As skies will be mostly cloudy and cause of the precipitation, temperatures will drop to maybe even below the 30 degrees Celsius/ 86 degrees Fahrenheit during the day and drop to around 23 degrees Celsius/ 73 degrees Fahrenheit during the night. The chances of precipitation will be high (80%) and accumulations will likely be high (significant) as well with totals that could reach the 50 to 75 mm or more locally. By Saturday and Sunday, some lingering moisture could still cause additional isolated activity across parts of the islands.

* The first week of December is expected to be a little variable, weather-wise across the ABC islands. Areas of cloudiness with embedded shower activity will move over the local islands from time to time leading to partly to mostly cloudy skies and the possibility of a local shower to a few local showers during the week. The day with the least chances of activity will be Wednesday and the day with the highest chances will be Friday. Winds will generally be light with moderate gusts from the east-northeast. The sea will have waves between 0.8 to 1.2 meters high. Maximum temperatures this week will be around 31 degrees Celsius/ 88 degrees Fahrenheit, and the minimum temperatures will be around 26 degrees Celsius/ 79 degrees Fahrenheit.

The winds will be moderate from the east with a tendency to slightly decrease during the weekend. The sea will have waves between 1.2 to 1.4 meters high. Maximum temperatures this weekend will be around 31 degrees Celsius/ 88 degrees Fahrenheit, and the minimum temperatures will be around 26 degrees Celsius/ 79 degrees Fahrenheit.

The rain season is finally starting to show its presence across the ABC islands as we have been seeing an increase of activity lately across the islands. This is very late into the season as the rainy season started on October 1st. Recently (in October) the La Niña has been classified, but those conditions always take some time to influence our area. Its influence will promote more activity in the coming months across the area. Right now, an area of showers is moving over the island of Aruba. Those showers are locally heavy and accompanied by gusty winds. Activity is expected to increase further during the night across the region and also through parts of tomorrow with locally some heavy shower activity accompanied by gusty winds and a chance of thunder. As those showers can be heavy, flooding will be possible over the prone areas. On Thursday, activity should decrease significantly only to increase again during the weekend due to the presence of a disturbance.

La temporada de lluvias finalmente está comenzando a notarse en las islas ABC, ya que hemos observado un aumento de la actividad últimamente. A disturbance over the eastern Caribbean is expected to push pockets of low-level clouds with embedded showers over our region in the next several days , which could result in some shower activity (a few local showers) starting on Tuesday and increasing a bit in the days after. Until then, expect mainly dry conditions without excluding an isolated shower. Winds will be light to sometimes moderate in gusts from the east and later in the week from the northeast. The sea will have waves between 0.6 to 1.0 meters high. Maximum temperatures this week will be around 31-32 degrees Celsius/ 88-89 degrees Fahrenheit, and the minimum temperatures will be around 25-26 degrees Celsius/ 77-79 degrees Fahrenheit.

Skies will be partly sunny during the weekend and mostly on Sunday, a local shower will be possible. The winds will be moderate from the east today (Friday) with a trend to decrease during the weekend and become light to moderate from the east. The sea will have waves between 0.7 to 1.3 meters high. Maximum temperatures this weekend will be around 31-32 degrees Celsius/ 88-89 degrees Fahrenheit, and the minimum temperatures will be around 25-26 degrees Celsius/ 77-79 degrees Fahrenheit, which is in both cases, a little bit lower than what we have had lately.

Skies this week will be partly sunny with mostly on Wednesday, a chance of a local shower. Otherwise, it will stay dry and too windy (from the east) for the time of the year. The sea will have waves between 1.2 to 2.0 meters high. Mostly on Monday, seas will be rough, so swimmers and boaters should take this into account. Maximum temperatures this week will be around 32-33 degrees Celsius/ 89-91 degrees Fahrenheit, and the minimum temperatures will be around 27 degrees Celsius/ 81 degrees Fahrenheit.
