As anticipated, a tropical wave in the area is leading to the formation of some (thunder)shower activity across parts of the local islands this morning. The island of Aruba is next to get the local shower activity. Some more local activity is still possible until midday, elsewhere.

Here we share our 5-day weather forecast graph for the ABC islands for this week (June 16th to June 20th, 2025).
* A little variable workweek is ahead weather-wise (less than last week) with windy conditions and somewhat hazy conditions across the ABC islands. Monday and Tuesday will be windy, hazy and overall, the driest days of the week. A local shower is certainly possible over some areas, mostly during the morning hours, but in general, conditions should remain mostly dry. By Wednesday and beyond, as another tropical wave reaches the region, we will see more cloudiness and higher chances of a local shower or two to a few local showers across the region. This would persist for most of the current week. The hazy conditions would diminish by Thursday and be back by Saturday. It will remain windy. As the winds will be quite strong during most of the week, seas will be quite rough with waves between 1.8 to 2.0 meters high. Swimmers and boaters are advised to take this into consideration. Maximum temperatures this week will be around 32-33 degrees Celsius/ 89-91 degrees Fahrenheit, and the minimum temperatures will be around 26-27 degrees Celsius/ 79-81 degrees Fahrenheit.

* Se avecina una semana laboral con condiciones meteorológicas algo variables (menos que la semana pasada), con viento y algo de bruma en las islas ABC. El lunes y el martes serán ventosos, brumosos y, en general, los días más secos de la semana. Es posible que se produzca un chubasco localizado en algunas zonas, principalmente durante la mañana, pero en general, las condiciones deberían permanecer mayormente secas. Para el miércoles en adelante, a medida que otra onda tropical llegue a la región, veremos más nubosidad y mayor posibilidad de uno o dos chubascos locales, o incluso algunos chubascos locales, en la región. A thundershower has passed over the southernmost coast of Curaçao minutes ago (around 9 am) and has caused rainfall there and very strong winds and rough seas. Here we share a video taken by Jason Noordstar at Parasasa Beach. The tropical wave will continue moving westward away from the region and conditions should gradually improve. Locally a shower remains possible as some leftover moisture can allow that to take place.

Un chubasco tormentoso ha pasado sobre la costa más meridional de Curazao hace unos minutos (alrededor de las 9:00 de la mañana) y ha provocado lluvias, vientos muy fuertes y un mar muy alterado. Aquí compartimos un video grabado por Jason Noordstar en Parasasa Beach. La onda tropical continuará avanzando hacia el oeste, alejándose de la región, y las condiciones deberían mejorar gradualmente. Localmente, sigue siendo posible que se produzca un chubasco, ya que la humedad remanente podría permitirlo.

More activity is nearing Aruba at this time and we are following more showers southeast of Bonaire that could also reach that island and/or Curaçao later this evening. Significant rainfall has been reported on the local islands, mostly over Aruba and Curaçao.

Current radar image of the ABC islands shows locally heavy rain over parts of Curaçao with strong gusty winds and thunder near the island. Additional activity is still anticipated, also elsewhere across the local islands.

Showery day across parts of the islands, mostly across Aruba with beneficial rains. This is the result of the presence of a tropical wave across the region. Additional activity is still anticipated but it should start diminishing gradually during the weekend, mostly by Sunday.

A more unstable weather pattern has started across the ABC islands since Tuesday as forecast and is about to peak between today and Saturday with more shower activity and the possibility of thunder. Some of those showers can locally be heavy and accompanied by gusty winds. An area of showers and occasionally some slight thunder is currently approaching the local islands from the east and if it remains active, it will arrive during this morning, bringing more beneficial precipitation to parts of the local islands. The weather is related to two tropical waves that are currently present in the region. We will monitor the weather and inform you.

Un patrón meteorológico más inestable ha comenzado en las islas ABC desde el martes, según lo previsto, y está a punto de alcanzar su punto máximo entre hoy y el sábado, con más chubascos y la posibilidad de alguna tormenta eléctrica. Algunos chubascos pueden ser localmente fuertes y estar acompañados de ráfagas de viento. Here we share our 5-day weather forecast graph for the ABC islands for this week (June 9th to June 13th, 2025).
* A variable workweek is ahead weather-wise with a windy and hazy start and a more unstable end across the ABC islands. Monday will start generally partly cloudy with a little chance of a local brief morning shower. It will be a windy day with hazy conditions. Tuesday will be a hazy day but the possibility of a local shower or two will also increase. Winds will continue to be moderate to strong from the east. By Wednesday, as a tropical wave approaches the region, we also expect a hazy day with windy conditions and an increasing chance of a local shower or two. By Thursday, as we are under the influence of a tropical wave, we expect a decrease in winds, and a higher chance of a few local (thunder)showers. The hazy weather will decrease. By Friday, as the tropical wave has passed, only some lingering moisture could lead to a local shower or two, but the winds will be stronger again and a new mass of Saharan dust will be entering the Caribbean again from the east, reaching the local region later that day or night. As the winds will be quite strong during most of the week, seas will be quite rough with waves between 1.5 to 2.0 meters high. Swimmers and boaters are advised to take this into consideration. Maximum temperatures this week will be around 32-33 degrees Celsius/ 89-91 degrees Fahrenheit, and the minimum temperatures will be around 26-27 degrees Celsius/ 79-81 degrees Fahrenheit.

* Se avecina una semana laboral variable en cuanto al tiempo, con un inicio ventoso y brumoso y un final más inestable en las islas ABC. El lunes comenzará con un cielo parcialmente nublado, con escasa probabilidad de un chubasco local breve por la mañana. Será un día ventoso con condiciones brumosas. El martes será un día brumoso, pero aumentará la posibilidad de uno o dos chubascos locales. Los vientos continuarán siendo de moderados a fuertes del este.
