The official schedule for this year’s Fengaros Music Village. 17-22 July in Askas, Cyprus.

Each day of workshops will be followed by educational concerts with some familiar names and a few unusual combinations. Gigs, DJ sets and jam sessions open to all, for five days straight.

Turning Point', the album by Eurotoire, is out now.

Led by Louvana Records (Cyprus), and in partnership with Arda Recorders (Portugal) and Mediatone (France), the third edition of Eurotoire has gathered artists from all three countries to write, record and release an album from scratch.

Eleven songs created by six artists - masterclasses in all three countries, songwriting sessions in Cyprus, recorded in Portugal and a few live performances in the horizon. The album captures the essence of Eurotoire: the importance of connection through music and the power of collaboration across borders.

Charis Ioannou - Street Photography
17-22 July in Askas, Cyprus

Jazz musician and photographer Charis Ioannou returns to Fengaros Music Village, this time to explore the art of street photography. The workshop will delve into compositional devices, various working techniques, the history of street photography, storytelling through the lens, as well as basic photo editing for presenting aesthetically pleasing images. Participants will get to apply this knowledge by capturing the experience of Fengaros Music Village throughout its duration. Their work will be presented daily on the FMV social media, while selected photos will be published on the Fengaros official website.

Athina Kasiou - Through the text

The workshop will delve deep into practical ways of ‘unlocking’ a text and reforming it for a live performance. Participants will get to approach this in a practical way and take on different roles along the process - from analysis to dramaturgy to performance.

ody icons - SHAME ON YOU!
17-22 July in Askas, Cyprus

In this workshop we will seek to explore, deepen and soften the differences between the performing body and the body that is ashamed. Through various exercises and techniques we will attempt to dispute the ancient-old agreement that was made between people where a single human body gets to do something while being watched by the rest of the human bodies. How does the concept of shame, both socially and personally, block the way to enjoyment by always striving for perfectionism? How do I embody my fear of being exposed when I need to stand up and open my mouth to perform? A group, but also personal, journey that will reveal the body’s technical anchors from which the performer can grasp onto so as to not sink into the ocean of guilt and shame on stage.
