سه ره دارد جهان عشق اکنون
یکی آتش یکی اشک و یکی خون

به آتش خواستم جانم که سوزد
چو جای توست نتوانم که سوزد

به می‌ماند اندر عقیقین قدح
سرشکی که در لاله مأوی گرفت

قدح گیر چندی و دنیایی مگیر
که بدبخت شد آنکه دنیایی گرفت

زشت باید دید و انگارید خوب، زهر باید خورد و انگارید قند
توسنی کردم ندانستم همی، کز کشیدن تنگ‌تر گردد کمند

تا بدانی ، دَردِ ، عشق و ، داغ هجر و غم کِشی

چون به هجر اَندر بِپیچی
پس بدانی، ( دانی ) قدر من
