Toplumsal Cinsiyet Uygulama ve Araştırma Merkezi (TOCAM) tarafından 17 Mayıs Homofobi, Bifobi, Transfobi ve İnterfobi Karşıtı Gün etkinlikleri kapsamında, Rüstem Kitabevi'nde 'Av' isimli filmimizin gösterimine ve ardından oyuncularımızla birlikte olacağımız söyleşi etkinliğine sizleri de bekleriz.

Ayrıca, söyleşinin ardından sevgili dostumuz Savvas Kourtis bizi samimi bir sosyal tango buluşmasına davet ediyor. Kendisi şöyle diyor:
“Filmin sosyal tangoyu ve Kıbrıs’taki gerçek hayat tangosunu, Kıbrıslı toplulukları bir araya getiren bu deneyimi yansıtmasından ilham alarak, geceyi samimi bir sosyal tango ile tamamlayacağız. Katılmak isteyenler için ne deneyim ne de özel ayakkabılar gerekiyor. Olduğunuz gibi gelin ve sosyal tangonun, bir yabancıya sarılmanın devrimci bir eylem olabileceğini önermesine izin verin.”

The Center of Gender Studies (TOCAM) has invited us to screen our film 'The Hunt' and a discussion with us and our actors at Rüstem Bookstore on Monday, May 11th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, as part of the May 17th Anti-Homophobia, Biphobia, Transphobia, and Interphobia Day activities.

For the closing of the night, our dear friend Savvas Kourtis will be joining us for some casual social tango. He says: "Inspired by the film's portrayal of social tango and real-life tango in Nicosia, which brings Cypriot communities together, we will finish the night with some casual social tango. For those wishing to participate, no experience or shoes needed. Come as you are, and allow social tango to propose that hugging a stranger, is revolutionary"

We are delighted and proud that our film 'The Hunt' has been selected for the European Film Academy’s historical program focusing on the evolution of Cypriot cinema.

Bringing together cast and film professionals from across Cyprus, our film is the first Cypriot fiction work to address issues of homophobia, patriarchal values, and q***r identity within our occupied and divided island.
It was created from an intersectional perspective, considering the roles of religion, tradition, Cyprus’s colonial history, occupation, militarism, and animal abuse.
Inclusion in this program holds particular significance for us, as it positions our film within the contemporary film landscape while also contributing to the legacy of Cypriot cinema.
