হজরত মুহাম্মদ (সা.) প্রাণীদের প্রতি অত্যন্ত দয়ালু ছিলেন, আর বিড়াল তাঁর কাছে বিশেষভাবে প্রিয় ছিল। বিভিন্ন বর্ণনায় আসে, তিনি বিড়ালকে ভালোবাসতেন এবং তাদের প্রতি কোমল আচরণ করতেন। বলা হয়, তিনি কখনো বিড়ালকে কষ্ট দিতে পছন্দ করতেন না; বরং তাদের আরাম ও নিরাপত্তার কথা ভাবতেন।

একটি প্রসিদ্ধ কাহিনিতে উল্লেখ আছে—নামাজের সময় তাঁর পোশাকের ওপর একটি বিড়াল ঘুমিয়ে পড়লে তিনি সেটিকে বিরক্ত না করে পোশাকের অংশ কেটে নেন, যেন বিড়ালটি আরামে থাকে। এই ঘটনাগুলো আমাদের শেখায়, ইসলামে প্রাণীদের প্রতি দয়া, ভালোবাসা ও মানবিক আচরণ কতটা গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।

হজরত মুহাম্মদ (সা.)-এর এই শিক্ষা আজও আমাদের অনুপ্রাণিত করে—সব সৃষ্টির প্রতি করুণা দেখানোই একজন সত্যিকারের মুমিনের গুণ।

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was known for his deep kindness and compassion toward all living beings, and cats held a special place in his heart. Historical narrations and traditional stories mention that he loved cats and treated them with great gentleness and care.

One well-known story describes how a cat once fell asleep on his garment. Rather than disturbing the cat, the Prophet (PBUH) chose to cut the part of the cloth, allowing the cat to continue resting peacefully. This beautiful example reflects his mercy and respect for animals.

Through such actions, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught that showing kindness to animals is an important part of faith. His life continues to inspire millions to treat all creatures with love, compassion, and dignity.
