Meeting of the Editorial Board of Plant Protection Science

On 19 June 2025, the second meeting of the Editorial Board of the journal Plant Protection Science took place in the premises of the Educational Centre for Processing of Agricultural Products (Food Pavilion) of the Faculty of Agrobiology, Food and Natural Resources of the Czech University of Agriculture in Prague, under the chairmanship of the Editor-in-Chief of the journal and chairman of the Editorial Board, prof. Ing. Ales Lebeda, Dr.Sc.

The editorial board's actual meeting was preceded by an excursion to the Food Pavilion's production facilities, led by Prof. Ing. Miroslav Jursik, Ph.D. The members of the Editorial Board had the opportunity to see the dairy, meat processing, bakery, and confectionery workshops.
In the subsequent meeting of the Editorial Board, the members were informed about the current status of the journal and also about the latest developments in citation metrics. Further development of the journal was discussed. The aim is to continue to publish high-quality and thematically diverse issues of the journal. The editor thanked the members of the editorial board for their work for the journal. This was followed by an interesting excursion to the demonstration and teaching plots of the faculty.

CAAS journals at Natura Viva 2025

The Czech Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS) is pleased to announce its participation in the Natura Viva 2025 fair, which took place from 22-25 May 2025 at the exhibition centre in Lysá nad Labem. Within the framework of this prestigious event focused on nature, agriculture, hunting and fisheries, CAAS presents its professional journals Journal of Forest Science (JFS), Plant Protection Science (PPS) and Plant, Soil and Environment (PSE).

Visitors to the fair can find out about the latest issues of the journals, the topics of the publications and the opportunities to involve the professional public and young scientists in publishing. All of the journals presented are included in major international databases (e.g. Web of Science, Scopus) and have a growing scientific reputation and international reach.

Zpráva z workshopu „Piš a publikuj aneb Jak připravit rukopis pro vědecký časopis“

Dne 14. května 2025 se od 13:00 hodin konal online formou další z pravidelných workshopů „Piš a publikuj aneb Jak připravit rukopis pro vědecký časopis“, který pořádala Česká akademie zemědělských věd. Workshop byl určen pro začínající i zkušenější autory vědeckých článků. Cílem workshopu bylo informovat začínající i zkušené autory vědeckých článků o jednotlivých časopisech vydávaných ČAZV, o důležitých aspektech přípravy rukopisu před zasláním do redakce, o podmínkách a průběhu recenzního řízení a také o používaném redakčním systému. V neposlední řadě se také workshop zaměřil na etiku a citační normu. V rámci workshopu byl rovněž prostor na dotazy a diskuze.
