Meeting of the Editorial Board of the Journal *Plant Protection Science
The meeting of the Editorial Board of the journal *Plant Protection Science* took place on June 18, 2026, under the chairmanship of Prof. Ing. Aleš Lebeda, DrSc., the journal’s Editor-in-Chief and chair of the Editorial Board, in Prague. The Editor-in-Chief welcomed those present and briefed them on the journal’s current developments and the bibliometric indicators achieved.
This was followed by a discussion focused on the journal’s future direction. The members of the editorial board agreed that one of the editorial team’s main goals is to continue developing the thematic diversity of published articles while also promoting broader geographic representation of authors from various countries around the world. T
A significant part of the meeting was also devoted to a debate on the possibilities and limitations of using artificial intelligence in scientific research and in preparing scholarly articles.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. Lebeda thanked all members of the editorial board for their active participation, valuable input, and long-term support for the journal’s development.
