Press Release: Meeting of the Editorial Board of the Journal Plant, Soil and Environment

The Editorial Board of the journal Plant, Soil and Environment convened via videoconference on July 2, 2025. The Editor-in-Chief, Prof. Ing. Václav Vaněk, CSc., and the Executive Editor reviewed the current status of the journal and its advancement to the second quartile in the Web of Science database. The primary goal remains to publish high-quality scientific papers and to maintain the journal’s standing at this level. The Editor-in-Chief expressed gratitude to all board members and the Executive Editor for their collaboration and continued support of the journal.

Plant, Soil and Environment journal included in prestigious databases of the Web of Science

We are pleased to announce that the scientific journal Plant, Soil and Environment (PSE), published by the Czech Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS), has successfully passed the evaluation process for inclusion in the specialized collections of Clarivate's Web of Science database.

Based on the positive result of the evaluation, the journal will now be indexed in the following databases:
BIOSIS Citation Index
BIOSIS Previews
Biological Abstracts
All newly published articles from the PSE journal will now be included in these databases.

The journal Plant, Soil and Environment is a prestigious journal of ČAZV and has excellent results in the field of citation metrics - it is ranked in the Q1 category Agronomy in the Core Collection Web of Science according to the impact factor (IF) and also in the Q2 category Agronomy according to the Article Influence Score (AIS).
The journal's new inclusion in other major databases, such as Web of Science, will be another important step in increasing its international visibility and confirming its scientific quality.
