A great reminder of a mindset shift: instead of “Can you fix this?”, it’s often more powerful to ask, “How can we involve VFX to make this truly great?” 😍

After its incredible success at the Emmys, USS Callister: Into Infinity (Black Mirror on Netflix) has even been nominated for a BAFTA! 🤩🥳 Many thanks to the British Academy for recognising our work. Congratulations, partners!

And we’ve won it again! Many thanks to the Slovak Film and Television Academy. The Slnko v sieti award for BEST VISUAL EFFECTS of 2025 went to František Štěpánek, Andrea Shaffer, and Michal Křeček of Magic Lab - pictured here with comp supervisor Lukáš Abrahám - for their work on NEPELA. The film also picked up awards for Best Editing and Best Costumes.

Meanwhile, FATHER by Tereza Nvotová dominated the night, taking home Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Music, and Best Actor in a Leading Role.

And BETTER GO MAD IN THE WILD won Best Documentary of the Year!

With the period biopic Nepela leading the nominations at Slnko v sieti - the Slovak Film and Television Academy Awards - we’re especially proud of the BEST VISUAL EFFECTS nomination for František Štěpánek, Andrea Shaffer and Michal Křeček.

Though this year’s ceremony won’t be broadcast on Slovak television, our excitement remains undiminished. Tomorrow, April 9, we’ll be there!

The Czech Film and Television Academy handed out its annual awards on Saturday - and we’re proud to be connected with several of the winning titles! 🦁✨

SUMMER SCHOOL, 2001 received the Czech Lion for Best Screenplay (Dužan Duong, Lukáš Kokeš, Jan Smutný), while Dũng Nguyễn won Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the film.

BETTER GO MAD IN THE WILD won the crystal Czech Lion for Best Documentary Film, and also took home awards for Best Cinematography (Dušan Husár, Miro Remo) and Best Editing (Maté Csuport, Šimon Hájek).

And there’s more - Martin Pohl received the Film Fans’ Award for his comedy NA PLECH (DO THE MÆTH).
