Sky to Speak - S2sRmxd [XION 44] Release & Arash Ghasemi /IR

This compilation is rather personal - project Sky to Speak is my long-favorite act for over a several decades now, stemming even from my formative years, so it is pleasure that I can and appreciate being able to create kind of a tribute in the form of this truly huge collection of remixes for his latest album comprising of archival materials - Lost & found: unreleased and unfinished recordings (out on XION 32).
I was always into the idea of initiating and to make remixed version of some purely listening album, with ambient, experimental, cinematic music, dub and IDM takes on a whole of the original material. So by the time, when this brain-child was forming, I start reaching out to a lot of connections built on a personal basis along the way - musicians and producers of various countries; and well established contacts obtained through collaborations, from literally around the world; and of course friends and more local artists here too - I approached them about to contribute…
And the outcome is eclectic, colourful and moody: calm-bringing passages and tranquility meet and go in hand with those differentiating rhythmic sections, as well as the pleasantly disturbing, shivering ones - where in details can be heard the recurring, intertwined elements of the initial materials becoming its common language, when colliding and morphing - delving into their own territories. This applied principle is my vision of not only artistic styles and genres, but about people being able and open for co-existence next to each other too, with P.L.U.R.
