This year I made two resolutions:

1. Never stop learning new things.
2. Regularly step outside my comfort zone.

So I stepped in front of a camera and made a video about creating reels for — because watching yourself in 4K and listening to your own voice over and over again is a great form of masochism 😀

Along the way I fell so hard for DaVinci Resolve that I’m probably done with Premiere Pro. Node-based editors are having a moment thanks to the gen AI boom, but I’ve had a crush on them since I started using Redshift in Cinema 4D years ago. And if there was ever something that never belonged in my comfort zone, it was After Effects — my latest new obsession, which is where the whole video including SFX was put together. The crazy transitions were made with Kling 3.0 (wish it had existed last year when I was working on the backpack project) and the music was created in Suno 🔥

It happened gradually, but my work today is no longer just about still photography. For we’re currently working on videos where an actor is filmed in a studio and placed into a completely new environment using AI. For .cz we’ve been creating both static and animated visuals of seasonal drinks and bowls at studio quality — from a single reference photo taken on a phone. What used to be “just a photo” is now a combination of video, AI, motion design, sound design and 3D.

Comfort zone disrupted. Resolutions fulfilled. Starting next week, I’ll be having some free time — which in my case means I’m taking on new projects. Hit me up 🤙🏻

Just a little note for future me.

Not that I’m comparing my wife to a camera brand but there’s one thing they have in common. I’ve been with both for over ten years, and both are lifelong loves. Thank you for this unexpected Christmas gift!

A díky za footage rozbalování a skvělej komenář. Happy New Year!

Birds of Fire is now live — you can enter the virtual exhibition right away. Fix yourself a drink, put it on a computer or TV, turn on the sound and let’s go! 🔥

Don’t visit this exhibition unless you’re ready to face your demons. Birds of Fire is a virtual interactive journey through loneliness and transformation.

“This thing's gonna kill us, sweetheart. I wanna watch.”
Birds of Fire – The Gift is the second photograph in a series of five scenes. We return to a familiar setting, but the atmosphere has completely shifted. This time, we’re also introduced to a new character — the mysterious Cowboy. Most likely the person the woman was speaking to in the previous scene. But what does he bring? Is it really a gift, or a tool for revenge? Let’s wait and see.

I shot the scene from the same angle as the first one. Only the time of day and the atmosphere have changed. This approach allowed me to focus on the role of the characters and to unfold their story as if on a theater stage. Photography has long drawn me toward theatricality — there’s something about it that fascinates me. The characters are trapped in a windowless room with no way out. How will it all end?

Again, thank you to my awesome team – the result is stunning! Starring Rosier Visual Artist and Anezka Bzirska, with Koki9 on makeup and hair, and Lenka Kovarikova doing the fashion styling in collab with Terezie Dvorakova’s atelier. Love you guys! 🖤

Introducing Lonely Woman. This is the first and hopefully the last time I’ve jumped on a current trend. And I want you to know that at least one tree was killed so that this picture could be generated. But it was just too tempting.

"I saw a lonely woman in a luxurious apartment. She was battling some kind of demons. Beautiful, perfectly styled, as if she was about to step into a limousine and be driven to a private party in Hollywood Hills."

This is the first photograph from my new series Birds of Fire — The Call. It embodies a theme that I've always been drawn to — a lonely woman, fighting herself and the demons she cannot control. Trapped in a golden cage of her own making, unable to escape. She keeps telling herself this is how the world is supposed to be, but deep down, she knows this won’t last much longer. Who is she calling? I won’t tell you just yet. But you’ll find out with the next photograph, which I’ll be releasing soon. For now, let’s wish her luck. Something deeply unsettling is about to happen.

A massive thank you to the small but insanely talented team who helped bring this vision to life and contributed their creativity to making this piece unique. Starring Rosier Visual Artist , with Koki9 on makeup and hair, and Lenka Kovarikova handling the fashion styling in collab with Terezie Dvorakova’s Prague atelier.
