Editorial Board Meeting – Czech Journal of Genetics and Plant Breeding – September 2nd, 2026

On September 2, 2026, a meeting of the Editorial Board of the Czech Journal of Genetics and Plant Breeding was held under the leadership of Editor Assoc. Prof. Tomáš Vyhnánek. This time, the meeting took place in Havlíčkův Brod at the company Potato Research Institute. Before the meeting began, Dr Jiří Ptáček, a member of the editorial board, gave a brief presentation on the Potato Research Institute. During the Editorial Board meeting, the current situation of the journal, possibilities for its further development, the growth of its impact factor, and the publication strategy for the upcoming period were discussed. Personnel changes within the Editorial Board were also addressed.
The meeting concluded with a visit to the Potato Gene Bank and a tour of post-harvest testing of potatoes from across the Czech Republic. At the end of the meeting, the Editor thanked the Editorial Board Members for their cooperation and support of the journal and also the host of the meeting, Dr Ptáček.
