Independent Drum & Bass label based in Prague BNCexpress is an independent drum & bass label based in Italy.

It was set up by DJ Promenade but input comes from a large variety of producers intent on pushing the concept as far as possible. The participation of so many people from so many different musical backgrounds gives the project a fresh sound and a diverse outlook towards making music. The first release will have a liquid funk vibe, but future ones will range from jump up and ragga jungle to neurofu

nk. BNCexpress is also about providing a means for upcoming artists to express themselves freely and develop their passion and sounds - all the artists involved share the common view that paying too much attention to sub-genres is unproductive and musically limiting.

Purtroppo, per motivi indipendenti dalla nostra volontà, le serate al Sound Department Social Club sono cancellate.

Sappiamo bene quanto sia difficile parlare di club culture in un paese in cui vigono limiti di orario e restrizioni sulla diffusione della musica — musica che può essere interrotta senza alcun rispetto per chi sta ballando o per chi sta suonando, come se esistesse un coprifuoco musicale .

Un enorme grazie ai DJ presenti nelle line-up per aver creduto insieme a noi in questo progetto.

Non ci fermeremo qui, così come non ci siamo fermati negli anni passati, affrontando gli stessi problemi.

La nostra è un’etichetta musicale nata con l’intento di invogliare le persone a fare musica per stare bene, per esprimersi in libertà, senza limiti culturali. In fondo, è proprio di questo che si dovrebbe parlare.

From his early encounters with jazz and breakbeat to more recent Chill Hop-inspired productions, this album feels like a distilled summary of those sonic chapters. Each release in the Ballads series highlights a different facet of Promenades musical identity. In Ballads 5, the rhythms are gently infused with chill-hop influences, creating a warm, introspective atmosphere. While this chapter leans into laid-back textures, its successor, Ballads 6, returns to a more rolling groove—yet remains equally enjoyable whether on the dancefloor or through a pair of headphones.
