Concertino Praga - Antonín Dvořák International Radio Competition for Young Musicians, has been held since 1966. It is a multidisciplinary competition whose mission is to find exceptional talents up to 16, 18 or 21 years of age. The competition is open to violin, cello, piano, harpsichord, harp, accordion, flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, horn, trumpet and trombone in the solo category, and to ensembles ranging from duos to sextets in the chamber category. The competition is organised by Czech Radio and the Academy of Classical Music. The application deadline is March 31, 2023. For more information, go to https://concertino.czechradio.eu/.

The first jury evaluations are starting to come in! 🎧

Each juror listens independently to anonymised, encrypted recordings, so everything stays fair and focused purely on the music. Once all scores are in, they’re averaged to determine the four finalists in each category.

We can’t wait to share the results with you on May 14! ✨

Extraordinary success of a Czech pianist, multiple laureate of Concertino Praga Jan Schulmeister. Congratulation!

Mimořádný úspěch českého klavíristy! 🎹

PS: Příbuzným Jana byl František Černý, spolužák Antonína Dvořáka.
