Concertino Praga - Antonín Dvořák International Radio Competition for Young Musicians, has been held since 1966. It is a multidisciplinary competition whose mission is to find exceptional talents up to 16, 18 or 21 years of age. The competition is open to violin, cello, piano, harpsichord, harp, accordion, flute, oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bassoon, horn, trumpet and trombone in the solo category, and to ensembles ranging from duos to sextets in the chamber category. The competitors are judged by an international jury over the course of two rounds. The first round is completely anonymous and based on the evaluation of the competitors’ recordings. The second round takes the form of a public concert held at the Rudolfinum (solo category) and and in the Convent of St. Agnes (chamber category) during the 2023 Dvořák Prague International Music Festival. The competition is organised by Czech Radio and the Academy of Classical Music. The application deadline is March 31, 2023. For more information, go to https://concertino.czechradio.eu/.

Our predecessors documented everything with incredible care, so we still have all the applications, posters, programs, and photographs preserved to this day. 💚

That’s why we were so happy to collaborate with Zlatá Pecka on the concert in Pardubice — a wonderful opportunity for our talented musicians to perform again, joined by Adina Weissová and Matěj Kotal from the Talentissimo project.🎶

Bringing musicians together is at the heart of our mission — and seeing them share the stage as colleagues and friends is the greatest reward.

We’re excited for the upcoming concert "Concertino" in collaboration with Zlatá Pecka.

On the program will be several of our laureates — Denis Stefanov, Naďa Strnadová, Otakar Antonín Štefan, Semjon Yakimov and Viktor Stocker. We’ll also hear clarinetist Matěj Kotal and cellist Adina Weissová, who both previously took part in the Talentissimo project.

We look forward to seeing you on 30th November at the Gočár Gallery in Pardubice.

Our Story

Concertino Praga - Dvořákova rozhlasová mezinárodní soutěž pro mladé hudebníky, se koná od roku 1966. Jedná se o víceoborovou soutěž, jejímž posláním je vyhledávat mimořádné talenty do 15, resp. 16 let. Soutěže se mohou zúčastnit nástrojové obory housle, violoncello, klavír, cembalo, harfa, akordeon, flétna, hoboj, klarinet, saxofon, f***t, lesní roh, trubka a trombon. Soutěžící posuzuje mezinárodní odborná porota ve 3 kolech. V prvním a druhém kole porota hodnotí soutěžící anonymně na základě zaslaných nahrávek. Třetí kolo je veřejné a má formát koncertu, který proběhne v rámci mezinárodního hudebního festivalu Dvořákova Praha 2020 v Rudolfinu. Pořadatelem je Český rozhlas společně s Akademií klasické hudby.
