🦜 Prague Zoo has become the first zoo in Czechia to breed the orange-breasted fig parrot!

The tiny, colourful birds are notoriously difficult to breed in captivity and are kept at only three other institutions in Europe.

🎻 The Pavel Haas Quartet has won another prestigious Gramophone Award, this time for its album Martinů: String Quartets Nos 2, 3, 5, 7.

After dark, Prague becomes an open-air gallery. Signal Festival is back for its 14th edition, with 21 installations across two routes - including Dejvice, a new location for the festival.
Highlights include Jim Campbell’s Scattered Light, made up of 1,500 LEDs, and Svitlana Reinish’s video mapping inspired by Václav Havel’s legacy. The festival runs until Sunday, October 18.
