Magic Lab s.r.o. is a creative postproduction, animation and VFX studio founded in 2009 and based in the center of the Prague, Czech Republic. The word ”creative” in the headline means that our main purpose is integration in the whole process of production of any visual creation. Our philosophy is to be a part of the process from the very beginning, when first ideas are coming. In such case we can influence the process in the best way to achieve perfect results in postproduction, both creatively and economically. Good connection between the director and our experienced visual effects supervisor is the basis of the creative process, which can strongly be influenced by him. He can give good recommendations to the director on how to best achieve his visions. On the other hand there is also need to have a perfect relation between our visual effects producer and the head of the project to also keep the process on a realistic economical level. As we are much focused on the artistic side of the projects we cooperate with the best artists and for every project we take special care for choosing the right artist and team for specific tasks. We offer high level VFX compositing, which allows us to do a very wide range of visual effects tasks. From simple green screens, wire removal and retouching to 3D compositions, 3D tracking, crowd multiplications and matte painting. We also offer 3D animation and classical 2D animation, which can support the making of visual effects or can be even used individually (cartoons, commercials, music videos etc.). We are proud that we can also tightly cooperate with the studio of Ondřej Mašek, which is perfectly suited for movies set dress and miniatures. This connection allows us to offer more classical visual effects if it is necessary. Apart from the VFX part of our studio, we offer many services which are more on the classical post-production side. Editing and online suites perfectly suited for a wide range of projects ranging from commercials to feature movies. Graphics design artists for smaller projects like feature movie posters, booklet design, web design or corporate design. And of course our production, which keeps all of the services mentioned above running smoothly through whole process of production. In the end our studio has all the necessary support for even the most demanding clients. One of our credos is to support the art - all of the services above are offered for movies and commercials while we also support independent projects - from short movies and musical videos to documentaries and all kinds of visual creation.
