Kupa Piti: White Man in a Hole by is now available for pre-order!

Set in Coober Pedy, the surreal “opal capital of the world” in the South Australian outback, the book explores a landscape defined by relentless heat and vast isolation, revealing only fleeting glimpses of human presence.

Through a series of black-and-white and colour photographs, Georgeson captures this strange frontier between desolation and possibility: barren horizons, hand-dug dwellings, and quiet traces of human presence. The result is a poetic visual meditation on life at the edge of the desert.

Expected release: May 2026

Get ready for the new Untitled Photobook: Kupa Piti: White Man in a Hole by

Georgesons' lens captures a post-apocalyptic frontier with raw clarity and poetic restraint. His photographs shift between barren horizons, hand-dug dwellings, and fragments of human presence, revealing a town caught between utopia and desolation, fortune and isolation. In black and white and colour, the images move between repetition and subtle shift, mimicking the rhythm of life where time, space, and silence stretch to extremes.

Currently in the Making: Kupa Piti: White Man in a Hole by

In the heart of the South Australian outback, along the desolate Stuart Highway, lies Coober Pedy, the surreal “opal capital of the world,” and the subject of an extraordinary forthcoming book by acclaimed visual artist Tim Georgeson. Named from an Aboriginal phrase meaning “White Man in a Hole,” it is a place of survival and descent, where lives are carved underground against desert extremes.

Georgeson's lens captures this post-apocalyptic frontier with raw clarity and poetic restraint.

This is less a portrait of people than of a condition of an existential frontier where survival, extraction, and imagination collide.

We are excited to share with you one of the 2026 books that will be released this Spring - Kupa Piti: White Man in a Hole by

Along South Australia’s desolate Stuart Highway lies Coober Pedy, the surreal “opal capital of the world.” In Kupa Piti: White Man in a Hole, Tim Georgeson captures this underground town shaped by heat, isolation, and lives carved beneath the earth.

Moving between black-and-white and colour, his images echo the rhythm of a place where time stretches, and human presence feels small against a lunar landscape. Rather than document directly, Georgeson lets the terrain speak through traces, silence, and suggestion.

Developed in close collaboration with editor , the book will be a layered, non-linear sequence that mirrors the fragmented psychology of the desert itself. You can expect a visual meditation on land, resilience, and the thin line between myth and reality.

Oxymoron by  is a haunting exploration of intimacy, power, and self-reconstruction. Emerging from the artist’s personal history, the series forms a visual archive of red flags, fleeting escapes, and the subtle violence of self-sabotage.

A soft return to our Paris tour stop, where we had a few luminous days that felt both fleeting and full.
We began at signing Oxymoron at the booth. It was such a joy to be there, held by that Seine-breeze chaos of moving floor, books, and familiar faces drifting in and out. ✨

Then came Paris, a real spark of an evening. Linda and Lucie in conversation, revealing the book in their own way, and the incomparable guiding it all with such clarity and warmth. It was one of those talks where its afterglow will stay with us for quite some time.

A huge thank you to the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Paris for the “Cocktail de la Photo,” and to the , especially director Radka Ondráčková .is.death, for the support and for creating a space where different creative platforms from the country can get a moment to share their passion and inspire each other.

Paris also gifted us a moment at the S*x and Politics .official exhibition at Bastille Design Center. Thank you for including an image from Oxymoron. A visit to .pignon studio was another highlight, where we chose his illustration for the Maybe, Happiness Is... cover. So you can already look forward to the new things we are planning next year!
And , so good to finally meet in person and spark a new graphic-design collaboration. ❤️

The night ended at Crudo, where the table became its own constellation.
Special thanks to for bringing the international photography family together so beautifully, and to everyone for the stories, the laughter, the unexpected tenderness of those hours.

À bientôt, Paris! Stay delicious. 🇨🇵🌚

A tender look back at the very first stop on the Oxymoron tour: São Paulo. 🇧🇷
Ten dense, generous days where everything felt in motion, two art festivals, and , a five-day workshop that opened more doors than we expected, and, finally, the launch of our Oxymoron book, released into the world with so much care and curiosity.

It was a week filled with conversations that lingered long after they ended, by images that kept surfacing in our minds, and by the raw energy of a city that holds contradictions with such grace. Each moment felt like a reminder of why this project exists and how it continues to grow through others.

We are endlessly grateful to .casadelivros for welcoming us so warmly, and to the workshop participants whose presence, questions, and generosity quite literally make Linda’s travels possible. And also to everyone who crossed Linda's path in those days.

Here’s a small glimpse into that week, just a few moments we’re still carrying with us...
