The journal Veterinary Medicine is presented at an international conference in Toulouse, France.

EAVA conference is a prestigious European gathering of experts in veterinary anatomy and related sciences, offering a series of lectures and presentations by leading researchers. This year's keynote speakers include Anthony Herrel, Vincente Aige Gil, and Jesus Ruberte, who will present the results of their work in the fields of evolutionary morphology, neuroanatomy, and disease modeling in animal models. The program also includes poster presentations and thematic sections focusing on topics such as education, immunology, and gross anatomy. Promotional materials from the journal Veterinární medicína (Veterinary Medicine) are available to conference participants. Květina Day 2025: Young experts in Brno discussed the challenges of contemporary pharmacology and toxicology

Brno, 29 May 2025 - The Faculty of Pharmacy of Masaryk University hosted another edition of the traditional interdisciplinary conference "Květina Day", which this year focused on current issues of pharmacology and toxicology in the context of research and clinical practice. The event, which bears the name of the eminent pharmacologist and toxicologist Prof. MUDr. František Květina, has become a platform for the presentation of research results of young experts from various disciplines.
The conference was organised by the Faculty of Pharmacy of Masaryk University, the Toxicology Section of theCzech Society for Experimental and Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Czech Medical Association of J. E. Purkyně and the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the Czech Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

The programme was packed with interdisciplinary topics
The expert programme started with a presentation by Prof. Petr Babula on secondary metabolites of the Lauraceae family, their toxicity and importance for human toxicology. The morning session also included presentations focused on, for example, the effect of synthetic cannabinoids on P450 enzymes, the possibilities of combining immunotherapy with chemotherapeutics, or the effects of natural substances on mitochondrial function of cancer cells.

Summary: AMFB is rare in veterinary medicine and the feline uterine AMFB observed in the present case had not been previously reported. Although previously reported as a safe, benign tumour, a surgical procedure of a large AMFB in small animals without proper diagnosis may become life-threatening.

Summary: The fugate produced using poultry or swine manure
can be used carefully to avoid possibility of contamination of aquifers or surface waters. Also fugate produced
from manure of cows suffering from chronic botulism can be used only with carefulness because of the presence
of Clostridium botulinum spores in biogas waste of diseased cows.

Zpráva z workshopu „Piš a publikuj aneb Jak připravit rukopis pro vědecký časopis“

Dne 14. května 2025 se od 13:00 hodin konal online formou další z pravidelných workshopů „Piš a publikuj aneb Jak připravit rukopis pro vědecký časopis“, který pořádala Česká akademie zemědělských věd. Workshop byl určen pro začínající i zkušenější autory vědeckých článků. Cílem workshopu bylo informovat začínající i zkušené autory vědeckých článků o jednotlivých časopisech vydávaných ČAZV, o důležitých aspektech přípravy rukopisu před zasláním do redakce, o podmínkách a průběhu recenzního řízení a také o používaném redakčním systému. V neposlední řadě se také workshop zaměřil na etiku a citační normu. V rámci workshopu byl rovněž prostor na dotazy a diskuze.

Verinarni Medicina journal presented at the conference "Cannabis and science X"

On 23 April 2025, the 10th anniversary international conference Cannabis and Science took place in Brno. Experts from all over the world discussed the medicinal uses of cannabis, including its application in veterinary medicine. At the event, the journal Veterinary Medicine, which focuses on current research (not only) in this field, was also presented.
