The New Thaw Face 🧊
Thaw draws from experimental lettering, reworking its calligraphic gestures, sharp extensions and dramatic contrasts into something distinctly contemporary. Every detail of the family was drawn and refined by Ilya Bazhanov Ilya Bazhanov

Its forms move between delicate and dense, narrow and wide, pointed and rounded. Asymmetry and a broad set of alternates make the rhythm of a word shift from letter to letter, giving Thaw an especially expressive character in display settings. 3D ice visuals by Vita Shakhnovich

What started as a custom job for a friend grew into a full family, shaped by the rhythm that ran alongside it.
