I had a special pickup assignment today.
A couple of weeks ago, my friend Oo-Oui arrived at the Rainbow Bridge.
I checked the New Arrivals Meadow every day after that, but somehow I couldn’t find her anywhere.
Not by the treat trees.
Not by the sun puddles.
Not even at the tennis ball fields.
I was beginning to think I had somehow missed her.
But today I finally found out why.
Oo-Oui wasn’t lost at all.
She was waiting.
Waiting for her brother Alvin. ❤️
Somehow, she must have known she’d only be waiting a little while longer for her brother.
The moment Alvin arrived, there she was, ready to greet him.
No introductions needed.
No awkward sniffing.
No wondering where to go next.
Just two littermates together again. 🐾🐾
Their Mommy Marilyn brought both of them into this world with her own hands when their beautiful mama, MoonPie, gave birth to a litter of nine precious babies.
And now, after a lifetime of love, adventures, cuddles, and memories, Oo-Oui and Alvin crossed the Bridge together once more.
Their Mommy Marilyn and Dad David are carrying a heartbreak bigger than words right now.
So today we’re wrapping them in extra Rainbow Bridge love ❤️🩹
Oo-Oui and Alvin, your wagon is ready.
And don’t worry about your Mommy and Daddy.
We’ll watch over them until the day all of you are together again. 🌈❤️
