This chart shows how much CO2 emissions the AMANN Group caused in 2024 and how CO2 emissions can be allocated to different areas. It makes clear that green energy is the key lever for CO₂ reduction. Our analysis showed clearly: energy dominates our emissions.
💡 Key insights from our “CO₂ mountain”:
▪️ In Scope 1 & 2, we already partly rely on green energy (29,095 t CO₂e).
▪️The largest share of emissions, however, arises in Scope 3 – mainly from fossil energy in raw material sourcing (extraction, processing, transport) with 74,331 t CO₂e.
▪️Materials themselves often contribute less than expected (26,675 t CO₂e) – what really matters is the energy used in production.
🔎What does it take for real impact?
▪️Fastest & most effective measure: Switching to green energy – internally and across our supply chain.
▪️Increase process efficiency: Achieve more with fewer resources.
▪️Use sustainable material alternatives with comparable performance.
👉 What is clear: Effective and efficient emission reduction must go hand in hand. And: The transformation will only succeed together with our suppliers – that’s why we actively support them, e.g. with carbon footprint calculations.
