If you didn’t catch our episode a few weeks back, we covered the lost library of Ivan the Terrible in our episode entitled “Secret Tunnels, Secret Tunnels, Through the Kremlin”! This was originally a tandem episode with our Library of Alexandria episode as Ivan’s wife’s dowry was said to be a plethora of rare books thought to have been originating from the famed Alexandrian library! Ivan the Terrible’s Lost Library is thought to be buried deep in or even below the tunnels running beneath the Kremlin: the famous archaeologist and historian Ignatius Yakovlevich Stelletskii spent his life dedicated to searching for it, as have a few others.
