Hi Everyone,

I am producing a short film alongside Olivia Gifford as part of the Take Three Short Film Programme (Screen Scotland / BFI Network) and we are beginning our search for cast.

It is directed by Scottish based Bangladeshi filmmaker Riad Arfin. Please see the casting call below. We are looking nationwide:

CASTING CALL
Lead Actor in Short Film:

Do you speak Bangla/Bengali?
Do you have an interest in acting in a short film?
Character: ROBIUL (male), a Bangladeshi taxi driver in Glasgow
Age Range: 35–45
Ethnicity: South Asian
Language: Native Bangla speaker, English
Preferable: UK Driving Licence
Needs: Right to work in the UK
Rate: Equity minimum (short/low budget film)
Shooting: End of March or start of April 2026
Location: Central Belt of Scotland
Deadline: 24th February 2026

Berlinale 2024 was very special for us - Hector meeting dear friends for the first time, on the red carpet, and my first foray into work postpartum.

ARCHITECTON is in competition at Berlinale!

Our latest collaboration with director Victor Kossakovsky will have its world premiere at the 74th Berlin Film Festival. This beautiful film has been an adventure from start to finish. It took the team to unexpected places in many ways, and it’s not often two babies are born during a production!

Thank you Victor and . It was a pleasure to be part of the team again as co-producer. And , thank you for welcoming us into your world.

Big thank you as well to for the selection - can’t wait to be back in the running for another Bear after 2022’s Crystal Bear for ’s Born in Damascus.

Nearing the end of my in Bratislava. 3 weeks diving into a new project!

Laura and I are thrilled that Born In Damascus has been selected in competition at . It will be screening as part of Stories of a Present Past next week on Wednesday, September 28 at Watershed Cinema in Bristol. Laura will be there for the screening and doing a Q&A afterwards.
