Naicet sounds like „nice set“ and has caused some confusion and funny situations by the dance floor. But it is her actual name. Being half Mexican and half German the name comes from the language of the Maya, meaning „dreaming next to …“. In contrast to that, her sound isn’t quite dreamy but can rather be described as drifty, dark but melodic.

Originating from Hip Hop and RnB, Naicet discovered a fast growing passion for electronic music in her early twenties in Berlin and found her way behind the decks in 2020 beneath the Mystic Creatures event series. Her energetic sets usually combine several genres like Progressive House and Techno with an Indie Dance influence and have reached several German clubs and festivals but also international stages.

The extended podcast for BSTHP is the live recording of the set she played at the justUS invites event at Ritter Butzke on January 13th, 2024.

Naicet klingt nach „nice set“ und hat auf der Tanzfläche schon öfter für Verwirrung und lustige Situationen gesorgt. Aber Naicet ist ihr bürgerlicher Name, der aus der Sprache der Maya stammt und so viel wie „neben … träumen“ heisst. Ihr Sound hingegen ist gar nicht verträumt, sondern kann eher als treibend, düster, aber melodisch beschrieben werden. Naicet entdeckte die elektronische Musik in ihren frühen Zwanzigern und fand 2020 im Rahmen der Veranstaltungsreihe Mystic Creatures ihren Weg an die Decks.

Beim 44 Hertz Showcase servierte sie ein dreistündiges Set im Acid Bogen des Kater Blaus, dass auch gleichzeitig die sechste Ausgabe des 44 Hertz Radios markiert. Viel Spaß mit dem Mitschnitt von Naicet!
