Every other month, THISBE Recordings host an artist or a band to share with you awesome music for an hour.
For our September „Spatial Anomalies“ mixtape, we are delighted to host Philip Lawns.
Philip Lawns recently released his new EP „Virginia“ via the label, and treats us now with an hour mix, demonstrating in the process his ability at digging gems.

About Philip Lawns :
Philp Lawns - aka Filippo Prati - is an Italian producer and DJ. Deeply rooted in the underground, his rich background and influences allow him to produce electronic music at the boundaries of electro, house, synthwave and more leftfield realms, making his productions pretty unique and mesmerizing. He is also half of the duo Turbokitchen, and have released his debut EP „Ten Years of Travell“ as a solo artist in 2022 via Thisbe Recordings. His brand new EP „Virginia“ has already gathered support from Jennifer Cardini, Red Axes, Franz Scala, Andrew Claristidge and many more, and is available on all streaming platforms.

just premiered corrado collura remix of Philip Lawns ´s single “Disko Randagio”. Many thanks for the support. We are excited to welcome CCorrado, who makes a remarkable entry to the label’s roster with a club-ready rework of Disko Randagio.

CCorrado is a Sicilian DJ and producer based in Milan, where he co-founded Carne, an independent collective dedicated to electronic music events and underground culture.

Deeply rooted in club culture, CCorrado has developed a distinctive sonic identity shaped by years of research and experimentation. In both his DJ sets and productions, he navigates a wide spectrum of sounds, from prog and acid house to techno and breakbeat, blending them into dynamic, evolving journeys designed for the dancefloor.

His music is characterized by dubby and hypnotic structures, psychedelic tension, and exotic rhythmic influences, particularly inspired by North African culture, to which he feels a strong personal and cultural connection.

“Virginia”, Philip Lawns’ new EP is out tomorrow 16/07 on Bandcamp and all digital platforms.

Many thanks to Sinchi Collective for the Premiere on SoundCloud and YouTube of Amarcord remix of Philip Lawns’ “Virginia”. It’s with great pleasure that we welcome the Italian artist to the label.

Amarcord is an Italian DJ and producer whose music is deeply influenced by 1980s and 1990s sounds, from new wave and Italo-disco to electro and trance, reimagined through the lens of contemporary electronic and dance music. His productions have garnered recognition and support from some of the most influential figures in the underground club scene, including iconic legends like the late Andrew Weatherall and Laurent Garnier (who signed his track “Poliritmo” on his label), as well as stars of the new generation such as Avalon Emerson and HAAi.

With a growing reputation, Amarcord has performed both live and DJ sets at renowned venues across Europe, the U.S. and beyond. He has also played on main radio hosts in the electronic scene, from Rinse FM to The Lot Radio, Radio Raheem and more, and his music aired both on BBC and Rai Radio 3 in Italy.

In the past 10 years he has released well-received EPs, singles and remixes on notable labels such as Dischi Autunno, Ritmo Fatale, Ombra International, Permanent Vacation, and more. Amarcord is also the curator of the “Nottetempo” events, previously held at Italy’s Meet Compact Club, in which he welcomed a variety of artists like Pablo Bozzi, Ultra Sunn, Curses, Years of Denial, Kendal and more. In 2024, he also launched the “Nottetempo Series”, a self-release project in which he shares his original material and selected collaborations. An in-demand remixer, in 2025 he was signed to LA-based Bo**el Records to remix the song “On the Edge” by infamous band Scratch Massive.

“Virginia” is out this week on the 16/07 on CD and via all digital platforms. Pre-order is already available on the label’s Bandcamp.

UPCOMING - PHILIP LAWNS - VIRGINIA (THISBE027)

Back in 2022, Philip Lawns was busy writing the soundtrack to an epic journey across the Aegean Sea: Ten Years of Travel-an LP inspired by Ulysses‘ legendary journey. This time, life handed him an even bigger adventure: fatherhood.

In his new EP inspired by the arrival of his daughter and featuring the heartfelt ‚Virginia‘ alongside the groovy ‚Disko Randagio‘, Philip Lawns once again showcases his signature sound: a seamless fusion of cosmic disco and synth-driven electronica. Less mythology, more sleepless nights. Equally life-changing.

Virginia arrives on the 16th of July via THISBE Recordings and all digital platforms, and is already available on the label´s bandcamp for pre-order.

For the second Edit of the label, Pyrame edits „I don´t really exist“ by Tobiah, originally released via Muller Records in 2003.

More than 2 decades later, the track remains an anthem in the scene, a timeless sonic journey on the themes of relative existentialism and cosmic positioning. More than enough as a source of inspiration for Pyrame, who stretched the original cut while preserving its enigmatic spirit.
