Label KLEM releases first VA “Tales of the Silent Hyphae” : a sonic mycelium between the organic and the surreal

Founded in 2022 by Berlin-based producer and DJ , KLEM is a label that moves between ambient experimentation and more club-oriented explorations. With this new release—and first Various Artists, it delves into an organic universe inspired by hyphae, the filamentous structures essential to fungal growth, weaving an immersive and richly textured sonic experience.

Bringing together 10 predominantly FLINTA artists from across Europe, Tales of the Silent Hyphae is a sonic odyssey where dark ambient, drone, IDM, and noise experimentation intertwine. Each track contributes to this living musical architecture, exploring the boundary between the organic and the surreal.

"Closed Polysurface" est le premier clip qui introduit l’univers de Dever To Laye. À travers des textures rugueuses et des nappes en tension, il y explore un paysage sonore teinté de mélancolie.

Avec INIT, son premier album à paraître le 26 mars sur Autoscopy Records, le compositeur parisien Dever To Laye façonne une musique qui explore les souvenirs, forgeant une sonorité où la lenteur et la répétition sont au cœur de chaque composition. Rust présente : Méryll Ampe (Interview video)

Sculpteur plasticien, compositeur et live performer, Méryll Ampe établit des liens entre sa pratique sonore et sculpturale. Il conçoit le son comme un médium à sculpter en temps réel et improvise à partir de sources analogiques (oscillateurs, filtres, drum machine..). Jouant avec l’imbrication de volumes, de perspectives et de dynamiques, il crée des matières acérées et très brutes.

Rust est allé à la rencontre de l'artiste qui a rangé la gouge et le maillet pour laisser la place aux machines. Dans cet entretien Méryll nous dévoile les origines de sa pratique musicale issue d’un long cheminement à travers la matière et les arts plastiques. Il nous dévoile aussi les entrailles de ses compositions, dissèque avec ses mots les processus de ses créations et son rapport à la performance live.

Rust is really happy to share a new exclusive QA interview with Duellist, producer and DJ from Scotland.

Chris Braun creates incisive and intense techno that stands out with a cryptic and nightmarish atmosphere soundesign. Inspired by horror films from the 80s and 90s, he has continuously refined his style since his first releases in 2015 : the omnipresent cinematic approach in his productions is the result of a thorough sound research, aiming to offer a listening experience straight out of a terrifying movie soundtrack.

With several releases on respected labels such as Instrument of Discipline, or , Duellist will release his new album “Oblivion Shores” on June 28, on .
