We would like to introduce one of our artists for this Saturdays sonic journey, Barbad, a non-binary dj originally from Iran, based in Hungary. They are also the Co-founder of an LGBTQ+ techno event series called Kink. .budapest

Barbad has mastered the drumbeats of the percussive Persian instrument, “Tonbak”.

Their style coherently sutures progressive and fast-paced beats with uplifting harmonies, creating a cathartic journey on the dance-floor.

In their acknowledgment of the all-embracing and liberating qualities of Electronic Dance Music, Barbad became committed to the LGBTQIA+ community via their event organization Kink, where the crowd learn how to celebrate their own individuality through the futuristic beats and melodies of Techno.

This will be the first time Barbad plays in Berlin, and we are very excited to host them for a very special closing set in collaboration with the Future East community. .east_berlin

Spanish producer and DJ Ruman has undoubtedly started to reap the rewards of his hard and maticulous studio work. With his recent release on Oscar Mulero’s Warm Up Recordings, ruman emphasises his raw, repetitive and hypnotic sounds that have got attention from many big names.

His tracks are played every weekend by artists with whom he has established relationships over the years, such as, DVS1, Oscar Mulero, Stanislav Tolkachev, Steve Bicknell, Surgeon, Bas Mooy, Truncate, Rene Wise, among others.

His passion has led him to play all over Europe in places such as Berlin, Madrid, Barcelona, Switzerland in iconic venues such as About Blank, Studio 76 and Su***de Club to name a few. His sets are elegantly hypnotic without being pretentious, focusing on creating a line of tension with repetitive elements, darkness and light as part of the same being.

Now the future holds some releases that will make his international presence more noticeable and also his new stage as a live artist.

Raw Industries is pround to introduce Ruman as one of our mentors available for private 1-on-1 or group sessions for the followinig areas at his Berlin based studio.
