The virtues of jihad and war. The word of Allah: Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their wealth, in return for which is Paradise for them. They fight in the cause of God, then kill and die. He is steadfast in this true promise in the Torah, the Injil and the Qur'an. And who is more faithful to his promise than God? So rejoice in what you do with Him. And this is the great success. They are the repentant, the worshipers, the thankful, the breaker (of the world), the performers of bowing and prostration, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and guarding the limits set by Allah. Give glad tidings to the believers. (At-Tawbah: 9: 111-112)
