The group explores the space between structured composition and spontaneous sonic exploration, with each performance built through attentive listening and intuitive interaction.

Elektramusic Berlin is proud to present Consonant Dissonance, the new album by John C.S. Keston.

https://johncskeston.bandcamp.com/album/consonant-dissonance

In this remarkable collection of piano improvisations, the expressive nuances of a Kawai RX-3 grand piano are continuously transformed through a custom-built modular synthesizer. The piano is sampled and reimagined in real time using granular synthesis, looping, pitch shifting, reverse processing, analog filtering, delay, and reverberation, creating an ever-evolving dialogue between acoustic performance and electronic transformation.

Recorded at the University of St. Thomas (Minnesota, USA), Consonant Dissonance is both an exploration of improvisation and a journey into the boundaries between human expression and machine interaction.

John C.S. Keston is an award-winning transdisciplinary artist whose work bridges music, video art, and computer science. His practice embraces experimentation, discovery, and the unexpected, resulting in compositions that challenge conventional listening.

New Release | Natsuki Sugiura – Elsewhere

Elektramusic Berlin announces the release of "Elsewhere" a collection of electroacoustic works exploring places that exist somewhere between memory and imagination. Through delicate field recordings, electronic textures, and immersive sonic environments, Natsuki Sugiura creates spaces that feel at once familiar and unknown.

https://natsukisugiura.bandcamp.com/album/elsewhere

Rather than following a narrative, each piece invites listeners to wander through shifting landscapes shaped by absence, distance, and traces of human presence. Elsewhere is not a destination—it is a place that gradually reveals itself through the act of listening.

Natsuki Sugiura is a Japanese composer and sound artist whose work explores the boundaries between memory, space, absence, and human perception. Her practice spans electroacoustic composition, audiovisual works, and immersive sound installations that invite audiences into worlds existing only through sound.

Winner of the FUTURA Prize at CCMC 2023, she holds a Master's degree in Composition from Nagoya College of Music.

We are proud to welcome Natsuki Sugiura to the Elektramusic catalogue.

Listen and support the release on Bandcamp and on our website.

New release out now by Elektramusic Berlin - Paul Clouvel : « Who Says This? », 6 pieces for saxophones and electronics, composed by by Michael Edwards and performed by Henrique Portovedo.

A major work at the intersection of saxophone, electronics, algorithmic composition and sonic experimentation.

Developed across decades of compositional research and performance practice, this release explores the dialogue between acoustic gesture and digital transformation, between improvisation and structure, between breath and code.
For Michael Edwards, the saxophone became a space where composition, programming and electroacoustic experimentation converge. For Henrique Portovedo, this project represents years of artistic and research exploration into augmented performance, complexity and the evolving identity of the contemporary saxophonist.

Recorded between California, Germany, Scotland and Portugal, each piece unfolds its own sonic world , from abstract electroacoustic textures to deeply physical instrumental writing, combining bespoke real-time electronics with virtuosic saxophone performance.

An essential release for listeners interested in contemporary music, computer music, electroacoustic composition and experimental sound art.

Available today on Elektramusic website, Bandcamp and soon on streaming platforms (links in bio).

Elektramusic Berlin - Paul Clouvel just released "Freedom Stone" by Lithuanian composer Ugnė Makselytė.

This six-piece album is a semi-avant-garde exploration of rhythm
as ritual, tracing trance states between pagan archetypes,
medieval liturgy, and the anarchic energy of rave. Born from
improvisation, the music draws on Baltic folklore, medieval chant, and personal memories of the Lithuanian countryside, weaving field recordings into arrangements that feel both organic and ceremonial.

Ugnė Makselytė is a Lithuanian composer, vocalist, and sound artist whose work spans experimental electroacoustic music, vocal improvisation, and immersive soundscape composition. She brings together folk traditions, classical vocal techniques, and contemporary electronics to create music that is both deeply rooted in heritage and forward-looking in its sonic language.

Tine Hinrichsen (klaver / stemme)
Jesper Frost Bylling(båndløs bas / stemme)
Jens Fri (stemme)
Karen Troldborg (stemme)

Mix og mastering: PrebenRaunsbjerg, Chesham Woods Studio
Label: Elektramusic
